23.01.2022 I've been watching this kingfisher for months, but it's never there when I have a camera, and flies off quickly. This week I got lucky. Not the best pictures, but a good start :) Wildlife photography requires patience and perseverance to get the good images. Oh, and good luck never hurts.

21.01.2022 Early morning sunlight on the web :)

21.01.2022 Another hard-to-get bird. The Bush Stone-curlew is about the size of a small chook, and is slow moving, but is very timid and camouflages really well. When it goes to ground it is nearly invisible.

19.01.2022 The early wallaby gets the juicy shoots :)

18.01.2022 The Misty Mountains. Overlooking Mount Perry township.

13.01.2022 Photography tuition and classes now available in Mt Perry & Gin Gin! Tuition can be customised to your individual needs, or a general introduction to better photography. My photography classes are not just "how to use your camera" classes, but are a complete guide to creating better images.... Cost for tuition (individual or small groups) is $50 plus $10 per person per hour. EG one person = $60/hour, three people = $80/hour. Discounts for pensioners & students can be negotiated. Class costs will depend upon venue pricing (yet to be arranged). Classes usually run for 12 hours in total, and can be done over a number of evenings or as weekend workshops. Whilst you will learn more if you have a camera with full manual controls (eg a dSLR) my techniques will work with any camera or even a mobile phone camera. I am also available for family and individual portraits, and to cover small events. Sorry, but I do NOT photograph weddings. Costs for these shoots is usually a flat rate of $250 per session. Commercial photography can be covered for $150 per hour, plus travelling if appropriate. All images are provided on USB sticks. About me: I have been teaching photography courses at several locations in Northern NSW for the last 20 years. Some 10 years ago I bought a rural block between Gin Gin & Mt Perry, and I have now moved here permanently. Note: the usual COVID-19 social distancing and other precautions will be strictly adhered to.

12.01.2022 Grey Goshawk. First time I've seen the white morph colouration.

11.01.2022 Monarch butterfly.

01.01.2022 Please welcome Amber, who had her first ever model shoot today. I think we'll be seeing a lot more of this girl. Amber, you were an absolute pleasure to work with, and I'm looking forward to our next shoot.
