10.01.2022 The 2020 Adelaide Festival program has arrived! We are pleased to welcome two Australian Premiere seasons coming to The Odeon next year: Black Velvet by Shamel Pitts & Mirelle Martins; A unique hour of stunning physical performance from a thrilling young choreographer, featuring outstanding lighting and video mapping by the Brazilian multimedia designer Lucca del Carlo. On from 28 Feb - 02 Mar. Mouthpiece by Traverse Theatre Company, written by Kieran Hurley; Winner of the ...2019 Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award, Mouthpiece is very funny, very moving and will have your head spinning with the knotty ethical issues it provokes long after you leave the theatre. On from 06 - 14 Mar. Click below to browse the full 2020 AF Program.

08.01.2022 Only one more sleep until the Australian Premiere of Black Velvet is shown to audiences at The Odeon! As part of Adelaide Festival’s dance program, this multi-disciplinary performance showcases textures, beauty and the power within us. Starring Shamel Pitts (former Batsheva Dance Company member) and Mirelle Martins, Black Velvet uses Ohad Naharin’s trademark movement language, ‘Gaga’ where the dancers reflect on and explore masculinity and femininity. 02.01.2022 In 2017, Australian Dance Theatre welcomed the Tanja Liedtke Foundation as a supporting partner of the ADT International Centre for Choreography. In recognition of this support, the rehearsal studio was renamed the Tanja Liedtke Studio, honouring the legacy of Tanja Liedtke as a choreographer and performer, and to serve as influence of inspiration to dancers and choreographers who work within the space. The Tanja Liedtke Studio is available for hire either a studio space for classes and workshops, creative development and rehearsals or as a theatrette for smaller scale events and presentations. Details: suitable for workshops, classes or for smaller presentations (seats 48, with potential for extra row, seating 58).
