We have a position available for an experienced Administration Assistant to assist in the daily running of our ever expanding Centre. The position will report to the Nominated Supervisor and provide administrative support within the Centre including enrolment processing, data collection and input, mail duties, answering of telephone and email enquiries and ad hoc duties as required. 16.01.2022 A proud moment for Theodore last night. Angus Wagner made his debut for the Western Force playing against Rob Simmons Captain of the NSW Waratahs in the Super Rugby competition. Two Theodore boys who started playing for the Theodore Roosters Junior Rugby League.

Theodore Chamber of Commerce is well on our way to hiring a community development officer and now we need a committee to guide their work. The Chamber is looking for a diverse, cross section of the community who are prepared to liaise with community groups to bring forward the ideas and events of groups and organisation as we bring the community together, highlight what Theodore has to offer and has achieved in the last 100 years. 07.01.2022 Historic Site to be destroyed! It has come the Chamber’s attention that the Castle Creek rail bridge is to be pulled down in the next 2 to 3 weeks. This has been done with no consultation with the community in regards to its historical value and significance.... As you know, Theodore is coming up to its centenary and as such the bridge is part of the development of Theodore. Many people in Theodore can remember travelling on the train and receiving freight or loading and sending cattle and sheep via this bridge. The bridge is to be part of an historical feature to be seen from the Centennial Walkway around Theodore and as such will be part of the sights of Theodore from a tourist perspective. It is also earmarked for a cycling track that one day may go from Moura to Theodore. Chamber is seeking your reaction to saving this iconic bridge and in doing so saving part of Theodore and Qld’s history. The bridge is also part of our economic strategy with respect to generating tourism and tourist dollars to the town. Please like and let us know your feelings re saving the bridge.
