24.01.2022 This is so exciting! Peppermint is my go to for headaches and when I need to focus better.

23.01.2022 I'm a big sucker for a gorgeous candle, but I'm very particular with which candles I burn for various reasons. And diffusers? The BEST way to create a gorgeous aroma is through diffusing pure essential oils. There are a few pros & cons to both - I've listed them below. Safety - Candles have an open flame, which is dangerous for obvious reasons. Diffusers do not require any internal heat, and the mist is not hot to touch. Purity | A lot of candles have synthetic fragrances in ...them, some of these produce fumes that are similar to diesel fumes. Diffusers do not produce smoke, so it won't hurt your lungs, the dTERRA oils are also 100% pure, so there are no synthetic fragrances that you need to worry about. Control | With a candle you cannot control how strong the aroma is, which sometimes leads to getting headaches. With a diffuser, you control how many drops of Essential Oil you put in, therefore controlling the strength of the aroma. Economical | With a candle, you have to replace it every 30-50 hours. But, you can clean and use the jar for other things. Long-term, a diffuser is a lot more cost-effective. Aesthetic | I love the atmosphere that a candle creates, and I don't think anything could compare to it. But, you can purchase some gorgeous diffusers, like the Lumo diffuser that is pictured, that can light up and create a similar ambiance to a candle. So, I guess it really depends on what aroma you're wanting, and the purpose for the use. I always have a diffuser going in the house, but if I'm wanting a more romantic atmosphere I always use a candle, because you can't beat that vibe.

20.01.2022 When friends come to stay (pre-covid) and share delicious recipes This Kiwi and Lime Bircher is a great breakfast for sunnier days, it's so fresh, zesty and filling! You can make it the night before and leave it in the fridge, so it’s easy if you need breakfast to grab and go. + 1 cup oats (or quinoa flakes)... + 2 tbsp pepita seeds + 2 tbsp currants + 1 tbsp maple syrup + 3 drops lime essential oil + 1/2 cup coconut water + 1 kiwi fruit Mix ingredients together (not kiwi fruit), and place in bowl or jar and leave overnight, or for 20 minutes until it’s soaked. Top with kiwi fruit! You could also experiment with different flavours and fruit! I feel like cinnamon and apple would be yummy too! What’s your favourite easy breakfast? ____ Video created by the talented Madeleine Gill

19.01.2022 There are SO MANY skincare trends out there, it’s so tricky to know which one to follow, and which ones to stick with. One that has really stuck with me, is Jade Rolling and the Gua Sha massage technique. Now, I’m in no way an expert on this subject, but have done a fair bit of research to look at the benefits and techniques. I’ve found some great diagrams that show the techniques from many gorgeous businesses, but love these ones from Maed the most. I try and do at least o...ne of these per night, or whenever I put on my doTERRA Hydrating Serum (usually 1-2 a week). I should get into the habit of doing it every day - but I’ll get there eventually, it’s tricky to build a habit! BUT, I always try and use the Gua Sha stone on mornings where I haven’t slept as well and my face is VERY puffy. Both of these techniques are gorgeous ways to show your body and skin some lovely self-care, and it’s a slow practice that really helps me relax before bedtime. DoTERRA HYDRATING SERUM I LOVE this product so much. It’s amazing for promotion youthful-looking and glowing complexions and has such a beautiful blend of oils. It contains Jojoba, Macadamia and Olive oils, as well as Frankincense, Sandalwood, Myrrh, Rose and Helichrysum essential oils. GUA SHA Usually involves a rose quartz or jade stone to massage the face with short and long strokes. It’s non-abrasive and help to support lymphatic drainage of the face. You use it with your favourite serum or oil, and repeat each stroke at least 5 times. The technique is also great at relieving tension in your face, I find that it really helps when I have bad headaches or a sore jaw. JADE ROLLER Little tip, pop your roller in the freezer before you use it to help de-puff! Jade rolling has similar benefits to the Gua Sha technique. You always start with clean skin, and again, use your favourite serum, oil or cream before starting your process. Do you use any of these techniques? I’d love to hear your experience! x . . . . . . #doterra #guasha #jaderoller #skincare #essentialoils

18.01.2022 LEMON SELF-SAUCING PUDDING (no lemons needed!) I’ve been obsessed with citrus lately, whether it’s eating raw Limes, diffusing all my citrus oils, or cooking with oil - obsessed. I was craving something a bit zesty and warm for dessert the other day and wanted to bake a Self-Saucing Lemon Pudding, but I didn’t have any lemons! SO, out comes the trusty Lemon Essential Oil. I wasn’t sure if it was going to work, but it worked so well I had to bake it again and share it with you... (pictured). Head over to my blog here (https://www.theoilgrove.com.au//lemon-self-saucing-puddin/) to view the recipe! The recipe can be adapted to be vegan and dairy-free, woo! Enjoy x

16.01.2022 I have great memories playing with play-dough from when I was little, I remember using my imagination to play games, make shapes, and spent hours playing with it. Play-dough is a great weekend activity for the family, and when you add Essential Oils into the mix, you can also benefit from different aromas. For example, putting a few drops of Lavender Oil into your water can create a calming environment and help your children wind down if they are feeling pent-up. You can als...o use shells, plants from the garden, cookie cutters, etc to make it even more fun! || INGREDIENTS || + 2 cups plain flour + 1/2 cup salt + 2 tbsps cream of tartar + 2 tbsps vegetable oil + 10-12 drops essential oil (more or less may be needed depending on the oil you choose) + 1.5 cups water + food colouring (you can use natural colouring such as Matcha, Spirulina, Beetroot powder, Turmeric etc) || METHOD || + Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. + Pour in coconut oil, and then mix your food colouring and oils with the water and add to the dry mixture. + Mix together until combined and then put it in a saucepan on low heat for a few minutes. Keep stirring until it starts sticking together. + Pull it off the heat and knead on a lightly floured surface. + Then use! Store in an airtight container. || OILS || I used Lavender fo the purple/blue dough, Wild Orange for the yellow and Lemon Eucalyptus for the green. You can use Wild Orange for uplifting, and Peppermint / Lemon to promote focus. Or just whichever oils your little ones would like Please tag me if you make this recipe, I'd love to see your creations!

I'm sending out some samples this week to some lovely ladies and thought I'd see if anyone else was interested in getting some samples through snail mail! Basically, we will have a quick phone call (or email if that's easier) about your top 3 wellness goals, and I'll give you 1-3 samples of Essential Oils to help support those goals and for you to try at home (with a note on how to... use them, because if you're as forgetful as me you'll need it!) 11.01.2022 I've slowly been collecting jars and easing out single-use plastic from our home. When we moved house around a month ago, I took the step to pop all of our bulk items into jars. It has been a slow process, but I'm so happy with the results. Not only does it look pretty (vain of me), but it's also so much easier to cook, bake and know what products I have left in the pantry. We are now going to the bulk food store and using jars to stock up on our staple items, rather than pur...chasing them from the supermarket. We still have a long way to go with reducing plastic - but I'm so happy with the progress we are making. Have you made any changes lately to reduce your single-use plastic intake?

08.01.2022 Child trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. A 2016 United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) global report revealed almost a third of all human trafficking victims worldwide are children. And whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims, almost every country in the world is affected by it. Tomorrow has been designated as the World Day against Trafficking in Persons by member states of the United Nations.... In order to help support this global initiative, dTERRA AUNZ will match all proceeds from sales of the dTERRA Hope Oil received by doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation AUNZ from July 30th to August 6th and donate them to Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.).
