A quick reminder, we've been notifed that Ergon will be switching our power supply off this Sunday for equipment upgrades. We will be closed Sunday the 20th of September. 21.01.2022 Happy Father's Day!!!!! <3 Hope all the Dad's have a great day. We have all Dad's favourites. Bacon and Egg muffins and rolls.... Ham off the bone and cheese croissants. Hot box is full. Sweet muffins, coffee and cakes. GFC chicken available from 10:30pm. Don't forget our chickn family packs of 5 or 9 pieces. All day menu. Spoil Dad this fathers day.

15.01.2022 Had the best family/work day off. Went to Eromanga Natural History Museum and met Cooper and friends. Australia's largest dinosaur!!! Fantastic experience! Highly recommended and will have brochures at the cafe from tomorrow. Eromanga Natural History Museum

09.01.2022 Yes we are open!! We have power and open all day until 8pm. Orders stops at 7:30pm so get them in by then. Chicken is ready to go as well as the hotbox and burgers are made to order. ... We will be closed Sunday all day as that is our scheduled power outage. We will re-open Monday morning at 6am!

08.01.2022 Hi everyone. Yes we have lost power but only half. Yay for us!! Soo kitchen is still open!!!, Fuel and eftpos is working! What's not working is hotbox so everything is made to order. Chicken is currently staying hot in our oven ... We do ask to not hold the drink fridge doors open or the icecream freezer. Please choose before opening. 05.01.2022 Hi guys. We are closing at 5pm today. Sundays going forward during summer will be 8am to 5pm. The other days will remain 6am to 8pm. During these unpredictable times with Covid and staff issues we will do our best to service the community while making sure our staff stay safe and healthy. Thank you for understanding.

02.01.2022 So great to be working with our daughter Sabrina! Welcome to Quilpie!!!! No matter how old they are, it's still difficult when you live so far from each other. I'm sure there are Mum's and Dad's that can relate? The last time she was in the cafe was when she was 3 years old!! I know some of you will remember. Her experience, work ethic and her attention to detail compliments the Empire Cafe Team. We might not be perfect, but we all get the job done. Thank you to all our sta...ff. I can almost feel Dad and how proud he must be too. Eventho the name has changed, it feels a bit nostalgic to me. So very moving to hear the stories from customers about their experience with Dad and the cafe. "The good, the bad and the ugly". (Quote from one of his favourite movies). It still chokes me up when people say "he would be proud". Interestingly, even some tourists have stories from their last visit, whether it was a year ago or 12 years ago. All have said they will be back again. :) Covid has put a spanner in the works and has been a challenging time for everyone, but we are very grateful to the local community for your support. Without you, we are nothing. Thank you.
