17.01.2022 A crisp morning in the Village
17.01.2022 Our family was asked to participate in a Ray Martin documentary on the Bush fires along with many others across NSW. It will go to air 7.30 pm 7th December on Channel 7. Look forward to seeing it, I feel confident that Ray and the team will represent us and all of the other bushfire victims with empathy and honesty
16.01.2022 Beautiful morning in the village. A different view of the Courthouse
15.01.2022 UPDATE ON COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
15.01.2022 A very cool but sunny morning in the Village. Luckily I still have a pair of gloves and hat in my car. It was the morning to use them.
15.01.2022 We are so sorry for the loss of this beautiful young man. He will be missed by so many
13.01.2022 What a beautiful piece from Ron Fitzpatrick.
13.01.2022 As most people are aware we have remained closed for the past few months. We have measured our rooms and we would only be allowed 6 people in our main dining room and 3 in each of our side rooms. As you can appreciate that would be difficult for us to run a viable business This year has been very tough on our family since losing our home to the fires. Nothing is more important than keeping our family safe. So for those reasons we continue to remain closed and will comply with the Governments regulations. I would much rather be safe than sorry. We appreciate the support and understanding of our many friends we have made through our Cafe.
13.01.2022 Update. Found safe To our local friends.
13.01.2022 For our local friends.
13.01.2022 For those of us who are disturbing our Cats days . I know our two (Ginger & Ninja) are wondering whats going on
11.01.2022 If you have recently been in Belmore, Caringbah, Casula, Kurnell, Merimbula, Murray Downs, Narellan, Picton, Pyrmont or Villawood, please visit www.nsw.gov.au/c...ovid-19/latest-news-and-updates to read about cases in your area. If you visited the Crossroads Hotel in Casula between 3 and 10 July or the Picton Hotel on 4, 9 or 10 July get tested immediately, even if you have no symptoms. Self-isolate and stay away from aged care facilities.
10.01.2022 A little giggle
10.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the size and location of our Cafe we will be remaining closed. The 4 sqm rule does not work for us. Having only 4-6 people in our Dining room is just not viable. We will wait for the warmer weather to returns, then we can utilise our outdoor seating. Stay safe and enjoy the up coming long weekend
09.01.2022 With the Cafe closed we have missed catching up with so many friends. What are we doing with our free time. We have our DA approved now and the rebuild starts. We have been clearing rumble and burnt trees for months. This week should be the start of the slabs going down for our new house and sheds. Finally it begins We are truly thankful for for it the support we have received during this very difficult time We have arranged a weekend with family and friends to put up our new sheds. A lot of hard work but fun with friends. Will keep you posted on our progress. Hopefully the restrictions will ease possibly in the new year and we will be able to reopen
08.01.2022 Lovely brisk morning. Its always nice to see the water flowing
07.01.2022 Lovely sunny Sunday. A good chance for walk along the Boardwalk
07.01.2022 Gorgeous sunset again
07.01.2022 The NSW Government is strongly encouraging greater use of masks in high-risk public settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The advice from the NSW Chi...ef Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant specifically recommends: The use of face masks in indoor settings where physical distancing is hard to maintain, such as on public transport or in supermarkets; The use of face masks (where practical) in indoor settings with a higher risk of transmission, such as for the staff of hospitality and customer-facing venues i.e. cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs; and During attendance at places of worship. Wearing a mask in any of these settings is not mandatory but is highly recommended, especially in areas where there has been community transmission.
06.01.2022 We have considered the recent lifting of restrictions, however with our space and location we have decided to wait until stage 3 before reopening. This is a very difficult decision to make, but we have to be practical and our families safety will always come first. We will reopen again and we hope that history does not repeat itself and we get to stage 3 soon Take care all and please continue to maintain social distancing
06.01.2022 The dogs and I had a lovely walk around the Village this morning. The blossom trees look amazing. Its been a great weekend for the family. Jessicas birthday yesterday and happy Fathers Day for Nic this morning. He and Jessica headed off to RFS Training this morning. Nice to have a small family gathering yesterday. Happy Fathers Day to all. Enjoy whatever you choose to do

04.01.2022 To our local friends
04.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to all. Very strange day for me. Slept late, now Nic is making Brunch for my Mum and I. Of course that does mean both he and Jessica get to enjoy as well . It is normally one of the busiest days of the year for the Cafe. We miss seeing everyone. Take care and stay healthy. The photo is from our bedroom window, a very beautiful view. Nic saw a Platypus playing the Creek this morning. Another good reason for a walk along the Boardwalk
03.01.2022 Have been loving these weekly cooking classes with Nat.
02.01.2022 The National Commemorative Service has now concluded. We call on all Australians to continue to commemorate the Anzac spirit throughout the day. There are many activities you can do with your family and mates on our website. https://www.awm.gov.au/AnzacAtHome #AnzacDay #AnzacAtHome

02.01.2022 OPEN We are open until 5pm* today! Please follow any instructions from our girls to help maintain a safe & comfortable environment.... We have halved the amount of customers we are allowing in the shop at one time - if asked to wait outside, please do so until called upon to enter. We have fenced off part of the carpark - although we dont encourage the idea - if you wish to drink your takeaway coffee in your family group, please do so in this area. DO NOT hover on our verandah - it makes it difficult for us to monitor social distancing. Sanitise your hands on the way in. Follow the arrows encouraging one way traffic through the shop & respect the social distancing stickers on the floor & barriers we have put in place. We are available for click & collect & regular post online at www.thelollybug.com.au *should today become overwhelming we may close without notice - stay up to date on our Facebook page. We appreciate your cooperation - thank you!
02.01.2022 Are you planning of camping in a National Park this long weekend. A Booking MUST be made for ANY National Park in NSW. We understand this includes areas such as... Coolah Tops, Dunns Swamp & Glen Davis where there are not marked sites as such. Earlier today Environment Minister Matt Kean said he expected many travelers would be dusting off their tents and vans and heading to the great outdoors now that regional travel was back on the table - but booking ahead is essential. More than 255 campgrounds across our States beautiful national parks will be open for business by the June long weekend and for the first time every open campground will be bookable online or by phone, Mr Kean said. Mr Kean said campers should come well prepared and practice good hygiene in shared facilities, and be aware that physical distancing as per Government health advice must be adhered to. Bookings can be made via : https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/npws-covid-19
