15.01.2022 Hey Open Mic Family Unfortunately after discussions between ourselves and with our venues, for the safety of our performers and crew weve made the decision to suspend all of our Open Mics as of today. Well be sure to let you know as soon as were back to normal. In the meantime we encourage you all to keep practicing at home and get ready to impress everyone when were back! When we return, and we will, we hope you all support the venues that support live music. Go to gigs,... eat, drink and when you cant, buy and stream music. The entertainment and hospitality industries are severely hit right now and theyll need our immediate support when were over this. Businesses and livelihoods are on the line right now and in the coming months. Keep safe everyone and we cant wait to see you all sooner than later. 14.01.2022 By now everyone knows about COVID-19. Were working with our venues as to the safest ways to continue Open Mic. At the moment were fine to continue however this could change over the coming days. We clean and disinfect our mics before every session and in between performers however we strongly recommend bringing your own mics & instruments for the short term. We also ask that you thoroughly wash your hands before getting on stage or use the hand sanitiser where available. If youre feeling unwell, take the advice thats being shared everywhere and stay home and isolate.

08.01.2022 Guess what...... WE ARE BACK AT THE Embassy Bar & Kitchen THIS SATURDAY FROM 2PM!! The Embassy has been incredibly supportive to the local music scene for so many years so now its our time to give back to them and support the open mic. They have worked really hard to make this happen and like us all, they haver had a really difficult time recently... PLEASE READ: We have to register how many people are going to be in the room so here is what we are going to do: If you want to... play on Saturday send us a DM starting with EMBASSY in block capitals followed by your name and I will lock you in. We can have 15 musicians so it will be first come first serve. If you want to bring people along then you will have phone the Embassy and let them know how many people you are coming along with. If you are just coming on your own then all you will need to do is message us and I will respond to let you know if there are slots available. Young Henrys are sponsoring the event and they will be offering a 4 pack of beers (or a $20 bar & kitchen voucher if they dont drink) to the act of the day too! We will be running fortnightly through August and September. Well also be encouraging patrons to get involved through voting for their favourite musos and there will be a give away at the end of September which will a prize pack of a $50 Embassy voucher and some Young Henrys beers and merch.
