08.06.2022 Adorable vision on Wild Wednesday of young Sule, free and wild in the Bukit Tigapuluh Ecosystem, munching on stem in the forest.

28.05.2022 When they were rescued back in 2015, Nigel, Hercules and Antak were crammed into a single tiny cell in a zoo, with little sunlight and minimal food. They were severely malnourished and almost hairless. But now, freedom is within reach! Please donate to help Nigel, Hercules and Antak find their forest freedom: http://ow.ly/IHks50Jfe41

23.01.2022 Photo of the Week cuteness! Who are you tussling with this week? Thanks to our friends at BOS Foundation for this fabulous pic of the orangutans in their care BOS Foundation

23.01.2022 In the northern Sebangau peat-swamp forests, our partners Borneo Nature Foundation are working hard to re-wet the peat by blocking off man-made canals. This is crucial work to prevent future fires in this critically important ecosystem, home to the largest orangutan population in lowland Borneo. You can help save these peat swamps: https://www.orangutan.org.au//secure-restore-and-patrol-/

17.01.2022 We just had to share this heart-warming update from our friends at Orangutan Foundation: "Acuy and her son Ariel, residents of the Lamandau Wildlife Reserve, are often seen in the forest surrounding Camp Rasak. As a result of their familiar routine, our field team have become accustomed to the pair's presence at camp, and have monitored Ariel's progress from a small baby to a growing 6-year-old male. Ariel will still rely on the devoted care of his mother for another year or two; when independent in the future however, he could grow up to weigh as much as 120kg!" Thanks so much to Orangutan Foundation for the fantastic work you do. We're proud to support your work in the Lamandau River Reserve.

05.01.2022 Wild Wednesday! Violet and her daughter Vanilla continue to thrive in the forest, showing they have excellent foraging skills. Great news from our team in Bukit Tigapuluh that they haven't needed any supplement food, even in non-fruiting season. This is a great sign of their continued independence.

01.01.2022 In this article about the need for urgent and immediate action on climate change, Leif talks about the horrors orangutans have suffered due to climate change. https://www.salon.com//dead-orangutans-and-burnt-forests-/
