24.01.2022 A full life isn’t about doing it all, rather taking the time out for what matters most to YOU Family. Friends. Health. Passions. My husband Adam has always dedicated himself to his career and loved what he did which I have wholeheartedly supported for the last 13 years. Though this did not come without sacrifice. ... Months on end spent apart from one another, long hours, nights on call, weekends. On one hand he has missed out on so much (the big and the small), on other, I picked up the pieces and did my best to keep things moving. We have always been a team, though something had to give. In the past few weeks, along with us moving into my parents house (patiently waiting for our dream home to be complete ), Jarvis starting school and Alba at kinder, Adam has started a new job. One with flexible working hours to give our family more time together. Which is after all the most valuable commodity. It’s been a massive shift to align our actions with our priorities and I have to say, it feels like a weight has been lifted #livinginalignment #simplify #less #worklifebalance #family #priorities See more

20.01.2022 S E A S O N A L W A R D R O B E As the weather is starting to warm up (and us Melburnians are finally out of lockdown) I’m getting ready to switch my wardrobe over and welcome my summer items back into my space The idea of a successful seasonal wardrobe is to showcase the clothes that align with the current season and store the other pieces away to free up prime real estate - perfect if you’re limited on storage space. ... I recommend decluttering using the 4 box method at the end of a season and if you find there are pieces that are making you feel underwhelmed or uninspired then it’s time to let them go Use this time to get back in touch with your personal style and evaluate what makes you feel like the best version of you At the end of each season, rotate your items and welcome the change, it's a simple and effective way to free up space and level up the functionality of your wardrobe. #organised #wardrobe #seasonalwardrobe #summer #winter #lessismore #letgp #declutter See more

15.01.2022 B A T H R O O M O R G A N I S A T I O N Showers and bathtubs can be tough to keep organised because they’re not always built with storage in mind. But keeping the items you use everyday within easy reach is a must. I recently secured this @tooletries_hq silicon set in our shower to give Adam a place to put his daily items and it’s been a game changer. 10.01.2022 The clutter you have today was money you spent earlier! If you’re not careful, the things we buy today can become the stuff we have to declutter tomorrow. I literally see this every single day of my working life - the guilt, shame and embarrassment when someone steps back and looks at all the items they have purchased over the years and then gone on to store in their house! I urge you to be more intentional about the things you purchase especially during hyped up sales s...uch as #blackfriday & #cybermonday! 08.01.2022 Declutter first... Organise second When you have a goal of creating an organised space, it can be very tempting to drive straight to the nearest IKEA or KMART. 05.01.2022 B O O K S This week is Book Week here in Victoria, and it was the gentle reminder I needed to revisit some of the kids books, and set aside the ones they no longer gravitate toward. If I’m honest with you, I have always struggled letting go of the kids books. My children have a profound love for reading and this has been a key part of our nightly routine since day one. I have read each and every book in the kids library over and over - I could recite most of these st...ories with my eyes closed! Though I believe as we move through stages in life, we need to let go of belongings that we (or our little ones) have outgrown in order to make way for new beginnings... Today was a win, I donated a total of 12 books from my kids collection Is there an area of to us home that you find particularly difficult to declutter? #organise #organised #organize #organized #professionalorganiser #books #bookweek #lovetoread #declutter See more

02.01.2022 S C H O O L M E M O R Y B O X There are many different ways to organise your children’s art work, school work, certificates and keepsakes. Regardless of how you choose to store and manage these incoming creations let me gently remind you: you can’t keep it all! When you look back years from now, you’ll want a handful of samples from each year of school to highlight their stage of development though you won’t miss scraps of paper or repetitious drawings. ... Each of my kids have an in tray in the living room where they place ALL of their creations - of course, the kids don’t want to throw anything away so I’ve given them a central location to place everything. Then at a later date, I go through and sort out what we’re going to keep and store long term, and what will be up cycled as wrapping paper/gift cards, birthday cards or recycled. I use these File and Store tubs from @officeworks which is a great way to archive all the special keepsakes. I’ve categorise each file tab by school year, though you could also organise by age or event. How do you organise all your children’s art and school work? #kidsart #storage #organised #declutter #professionalorganiser See more
