23.01.2022 Theres something about old tools. To me they have a story. Many of them are unknown to me, but to know theyve been used by other craftsman and survived and are still here today, still ruling means they are quality and well made. Its a shame many tools today dont live up to the same standards.

20.01.2022 I’ve been a little M.I.A. from this account lately. It’s been a while since there’s been much action. As we all know the worlds a little different at the moment which we are all adjusting to and adapting ourselves and our businesses to keep going forward. It’s not easy, all our plans have gone astray, some worse than others. I’ve still been here hustling away on the tools amongst other things making furniture and surfboards (I’ll post some soon I promise) I’ve always been one to just focus on my own goals and household. More so now with little Florence in our lives. If you haven’t taken at least 15 minutes for yourself over the last few months, please do so to reflect on what’s meaningful and important in your life. You are important and I’m sure someone’s thinking about you as you are them. Look after yourselves everyone K

14.01.2022 The best part about creating something for clients, is seeing where it goes! Its honestly my favourite part about the whole process of commissioned pieces. The final resting place. Really happy with the dining table. Made from salvaged Stringybark with the top being 1 whole Birdseye slab and 1 other piece of Birdseye, breadboard ends. Turned legs. Flush mount top with a little 5mm shadow line just to pop the top from the base. Tinted smoke finish. Size is 2200 x 900 x 750mm. Winner!

13.01.2022 Whats your plans this weekend? I know what Daves keen on. New log for @houseofmeggs. 9 x 22 x 3 Charley. I did some resin work on the tail to match Daves artwork before the board was laminated (check his stuff hes great by the way!)

12.01.2022 As you all are aware of the fires and we are all trying to help as much as we can, Ive been through some timber stash piles. As of today, Im starting to build a coffee table from this timber and ill be doing a raffle. Timber is donated from our family home in East Gippsland. It came from a renovation my late father did on our family home. The Farley home is one of the oldest from our area. The original house is over 80 years old and for now still standing. Meaning this timber is Gippsland old growth for sure. All the money will be donated to the Gippsland Relief Fund (If youd like more info on that fund, see my last post or click the link in my profile) stay tuned for a table soon. Feel free to share this info. Thank you. KF

04.01.2022 Just finished off this large outdoor table, 1m wide, 2.8m long on a steel base. Powder coated satin black with matching bench seats. Made from recycled Kauri Pine vinegar vats. This lovely old growth timber looks amazing with the black and oiled finish.

03.01.2022 East Gippsland is my home land. I grew up there and love the place. Our family farm is in the bush along with many of my close friends and still at risk of burning. Friends have already lost homes and everything, had traggic near misses or are still at risk and in danger of burning. There is a lot to talk about the current situation of fires and climate change in Australia. The lack of leadership and coal money hungry goons that apparently lead this country is making me sick to my core and angry at the lack of brains our leaders seem to have. In saying that. There is a lot of people who need help and are going to need help. Here is a legitimate fund you can support if you want to or can help, every little bit helps. Thank you. Stay safe. Support your countrymen. Thanks. Much love. Kyme. www.gerf.org.au/donate/

03.01.2022 Few pot stands for @arizona.living. Do the maths. Lots of cuts. Lots of edges. Lots of sanding. Lots of pot heads in Jan Juc.

02.01.2022 Really like the direction this house has taken. Such good vibes that fits in perfectly in Cape Woolamai on Phillip Island. Great to see the front door sitting pretty. One of two doors I made for this build.

02.01.2022 Helmet and Jacket holder. Recycled timber and brass. Oil finish.

02.01.2022 Just some hand shaping before sanding with the trusty Stanley. There is always so many little steps when building a piece that go easily missed. These legs were turned on the lathe before gluing the base of the table together. Still plenty more steps to go, but its coming along and looking ace!
