24.01.2022 Tummy Time Tips! Tummy time is used to encourage the development of neck, back and upper body strength in babies of all ages. It will help bub with the development of all their basic movements including rolling, sitting, crawling, standing and walking. Many mums will struggle with tummy time but there are some simple tips and tricks that will make it much easier to manage. Frequency over duration focus more on increasing the freq...uency of tummy time sessions throughout the day, rather then how long the sessions last. Mix it up tummy time does not always have to be on the floor. Try your chest, on your lap or even in your arms. Make it entertaining new toys, family members/younger siblings, pets or a mirror can all be used to keep bub entertained. Use a wedge prop bub up with a wedge or towel underneath their chest and shoulders. Pick your moments a settled bub will always enjoy tummy time more.
