11.01.2022 We have been flooded with questions asking what information is required with regards to documentation from a rural land owner permitting the licence holder to shoot on the rural land for a rural purpose. So we did up a template for you! If youre the holder of an RE conditioned licence, but need access to firearms and ammo as part of your occupation, or in order to assist primary producers with vital feral animal control work, or other rural purposes, then use this Easter lon...g weekend to ask your property manager or land owner to fill out the attached form for you. Then have the letter and your licence with you when youre in store, this will allow us to provide you with items such a ammuniton, powders and firearms. https://drive.google.com//1-5FN9gOpU2rWjE_qIoAheQUwa/view Amidst the confusion about these regulations we would like to remind everyone to abide by our strict social distancing measures when in store. We will have a maximum of 10 customers in store at any one time, with a maximum visit duration of 15 minutes per customer. There will be no unnecessary handling of goods and we will not be allowing customers to try on clothing articles. Remember that you can browse our web store from home and choose our click and collect option for customers local to Rockhampton, further reducing the time you need to spend in store. Phone pre orders are also welcome. If you are at all unwell, or displaying symptoms of the common cold or influenza, you will not be allowed entry into the store.

05.01.2022 Using the power to act immediately and without justification under the current state of emergency, the Qld Government have recently updated their health advice. Deviating for what appears to be the first time from advice delivered at a National level, they are enforcing the closure of Licensed Firearms Dealers and Armourers effective immediately. With no exmptions. Rest assured that we are doing everything within our power to seek further clarification on this decision. ...The fact that we are a provider of critical supplies to services deemed essential, such as our regions agricultural sector, seems to have been overlooked. We believe that we can operate safely, effectviely implementing control measures and acting in accordance with guidelines specified for social distancing whilst still trading. To put this into perspective, you can still go into a general retail store and try on articles of clothing, or place a pair of sunglasses on your face (please dont do this)! But a farmer cant collect ammunition (in a completely contactless transaction) to control a destructive feral animal population. To speak plainly, we simply cant see the sense in this decision. We expect the status of this situation to evolve rapidly over the course of this week. However we must comply with the advice as it is currently written. Therefore, we will be closed Tomorrow, Monday the 30th of March. Going forward we will keep you updated on a day to day basis as we seek clarification and or exemption from these confusing restrictions. Until then, please remain indoors wherever possible and maintain social distancing practices prescribed by our National panel of health experts and outlined by our Prime Minister Scott Morrison. We all need to act responsibly during such a critical stage in controlling the spread of the Covid-19 virus and the safety of our customers is paramount. See more
