23.01.2022 Day 2 coronavirus information for your dog. The Pampered Pup Salon is still open as usual, but don't forget to book on 0402 482 668. Stay safe and well. Tara & McCloud ... 2. Do I need to stockpile dog food? Even in countries like Italy where there is a full lock-down, people can still go to supermarkets for food and supplies. So it seems unlikely that grocery stores and pet food stores will be closed down completely, though some may be operating under limited hours or special rules. We recommend that you have at least a month of food, medication, and any other vital items for your dog just in case, but since many of us buy more than a months worth of food at a time anyway, you might already have that on hand! Just try to be considerate when bulk-buying if you already have more than a month or two worth of food, leave those last few bags on the shelf for another dog. Were all in this together!

15.01.2022 Day 5 coronavirus information for your dog. The Pampered Pup Salon is still open as usual, but don't forget to book on 0402 482 668. Stay safe and well. Tara & McCloud ... 5. Is there anything I can do to help dogs or dog families affected by the coronavirus? Yes! One impact of the virus is that shelters and rescue organizations are now seeing a significant increase in the number of people relinquishing their pets. So if youre able to accommodate another dog for a while, this is a great time to try fostering a shelter dog youll have a new friend to keep you occupied, and youll be giving a shelter some much needed space to care for other dogs! And who knows, maybe your temporary foster friend will turn into a permanent family member

10.01.2022 Day 3 coronavirus information for your dog. The Pampered Pup Salon is still open as usual, but don't forget to book on 0402 482 668. Stay safe and well. Tara & McCloud ... 3. What should I do with my dog if I get sick? We are in favor of social distancing, which is of course the best way to avoid getting sick! If you do get sick, there's a good chance that it wont be any more severe than a flu, so if you can take care of your dog while suffering from a flu, youll probably be able to take care of them if you are affected by the coronavirus as well. However, people who are over 60, or have other underlying issues (heart disease, lung issues, weakened immune systems, etc.), are at higher levels of risk and are more likely to need medical attention if they contract the virus. Either way, its a good idea to check with your friends, family, and boarding services now to make sure someone will be available to help out just in case you need it!

10.01.2022 Things are pretty scary out there right now, and were all doing what we can to stay healthy. Being cooped up indoors isnt always easy either! Our dogs will be a great source of comfort and companionship during this time, and were here to help you get through this by offering a few tips and busting some of the myths surrounding this illness. This week I will be sharing posts to help you and your dog get through these uncertain times ahead. The Pampered Pup Salon is still ...open as usual, but don't forget to book on 0402 482 668. Stay safe and well. Tara & McCloud 1. Can my dog get coronavirus? The good news is that according to most experts, it is very unlikely that dogs can become infected with the covid-19 virus. However, dogs can potentially transmit the coronavirus as the virus could survive for a little while on their fur, just like it can survive for a period of time on other surfaces. So, for your own health, try to enforce the same social distancing and sanitation rules for your dogs as you practice yourself: keep your dogs indoors as much as possible and try to keep them at least six feet from other people and dogs when you do go out, and if they do come into contact with another person or dog, make sure they have baths more regularly, and make sure to wash your hands too! And, as much as we love doggy kisses, its probably safer to keep your face to yourself

10.01.2022 How lucky am I Not even back open a week and I received a pretty plant for my garden from Mia's mum. Thank you we also had a visit from Maxwell who hadn't been well over Christmas and lovely new pup Jazz. A few pics of the new salon, I'm so loving the extra space, and somewhere to make my Amber Collars.

09.01.2022 Gordon had his hair cut from Tara of The Pampered Pup Salon last week. I can’t believe how positively tiny he is! You think he is much bigger and fatter until... you see him with no hair lol. Tara was brilliant and I do highly recommend her for anyone in the area with a little dog She understood and did not mind that we wanted to stay with him - he is getting older, has a heart murmur, has been paralysed twice with two areas on his back and one in his neck that cause trouble, plus he has arthritic knees and hips! lol He will feel cooler and cleaner for summer and I couldn’t be more pleased See more

01.01.2022 Day 4 coronavirus information for your dog. The Pampered Pup Salon is still open as usual, but don't forget to book on 0402 482 668. Stay safe and well. Tara & McCloud ... 4. Will I need to buy any particular supplies or take any other special steps? Outside of making sure you have food and medicine, there are a couple of things you can buy to make this difficult time a little easier on you and your dog. Since your dog may be stuck inside too, buying some new puzzle toys and/or long-lasting chew toys will keep them entertained. Things like Kongs, antlers, and bully sticks will help keep you and your dog sane! Oral Care Sticks are great examples of chew toys that will keep your dog occupied while you are cooped up together!
