22.01.2022 Two weeks deep into #NRLFinals and another week closer to the big one! Sports Presentation action at Bankwest Stadium last weekend for #NRLEelsSouths, two teams we've been proud to work with all season long.

19.01.2022 Throughout the COVID period, we have made good use of our time upskilling our staff by conducting further training in networking and IP technologies. Great to see our staff out and about in Sydney over the last few weeks putting their skills to practice.

15.01.2022 Ready for action. Rain, Hail or Shine. #TriNations2020 Kicked off last weekend in Sydney with the Qantas Wallabies taking on old foe's the New Zealand All Blacks at ANZ Stadium. We were on hand to provide Audio and Comms support for long time clients Great Big Events. Swipe through for some showtime and rehearsal action shots on field for Anthems and Welcome to Country. #AUSvNZL

14.01.2022 Last night we had the privledge of working on the Australian Event Awards here in Sydney, which looked a bit different than previous years. With borders closed and nominees in all states, the requirements of the event expanded to include remote events in other states and a video call for those who could not attend an event in person. Next week we will take you on a tour backstage so you can have a look at how the magic happens so keep your eyes peeled!

13.01.2022 Taking advantage of some of the unusual quiet time this year to build a new touring solution for our RF Antenna Arrays. Check out some of our Event Comms crew on the tools!

10.01.2022 2021 marks our 50th year here at The P.A. People! We have been fortunate to work with lots of people throughout our years so if you are one of them, please reach out with any photos or memories. Throughout the rest of the year, we will be posting some flashbacks no matter how bad the haircuts or how short the shorts. Our first flashback are these photos from January 1987 where The Australian Opera toured their Opera In The Park concert to Western Sydney for the first time. The P.A. People moved the entire sound system composing of 176 Bose 802 Speakers, 2 48’ Bose Trees, six delay trees, front fill and some 80 microphones from the Sydney Domain to its new site in Parramatta Park. The event was Australian opera star Joan Carden accompanied by the Elizabethan Sydney Orchestra doing Madame Butterfly.

08.01.2022 Time for another throwback! Our managing director Chris Dodds and one of our senior project managers Ross Ford working along side each other for over 30 years. First photo was taken during the 1990 Carols in the Domain sponsored at the time by the NSW Electricity Commission’s. The P.A. People provided concert sound, lighting, staging, television sound and generators for the Carols In The Domain event for 10 years. The show used 15m tall Bose Trees with front fill and six 8m d...elay trees, 80 inputs to Front of House, 88 channels for TV audio and a further 40 inputs and 12 channels of fold-back. The lighting system included 250 luminaries, six follow spots, two silenced generators and a comprehensive communications system. Second photo was taken this morning in our Rhodes office.

07.01.2022 Busy week for our events team at The P.A. People! Last night we supplied stacks and racks to a sydney high school for their socially distant Year 12 Graduation. We used our Bose Showmatch Arrays powered by our Linea Research amplifiers. On Wednesday night we supplied stadium audio and RF Coordination for the State of Origin Game II at ANZ Stadium. We had our friend Peter Twartz from Profiles Resource Management onsite to manage close to 350 active frequencies, and one of our favourite operators Paul Barrett from Barrett Evolution on the faders.

04.01.2022 The COVID-19 period has been difficult on everyone but especially the events industry. We thought we might as well make the most of it and bring all of our Bose ShowMatch Carts home for a good cleaning and some maintenance. Our boys had lots of fun filming the process of putting them back together. Built in-house in 2018, our Bose Cart is designed to house an array of ShowMatch cabinets flanked by two SMS118 18" subwoofers. Under the rear sub cabinet is an amplifier sleeve t...hat houses a Linea Research 44M20 four channel amplifier and a network switch. Under the front sub is the steering axle, while the space behind the array cabinets houses a flip up panel concealing the mains and signal connector panels. All of this is installed on a frame with four turf tyres and feature a front retractable draw bar and a concealed rear hitch enabling the units to be towed in a line. This makes it the perfect solution for any on-field PA needed for any sports event. https://youtu.be/_wHt16Mtt9k

04.01.2022 The 2021 NBL season in full swing with The Sydney Kings returning to their home crowd for two back-to-back games last weekend. Always a great day when we can use our Bose ShowMatch PA at its full capacity. The system consists of six arrays, each comprising of eight ShowMatch boxes with three SMS118 subwoofers. Each pair of main arrays uses a different combination of SM5, SM10, and SM20 cabinets. We also provide a full duplex Freespeak II wireless system centred around a ClearCom Delta Matrix Frame with V-station matrix panels and integrated with HelixNet digital partyline. This enables game day staff to communicate clearly and freely throughout the venue.

02.01.2022 Keeping things Connected at the Australian Event Awards. With this year’s event happening remotely The PA People was on hand to provide a seamless, multisite Comms network. Clearcom LQ and Freespeak II systems located in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth were interfaced with a Clearcom EclipseHX Delta frame in Sydney. Each remote venue received a comms package consisting of a Ruckus network switch, LQ-R & Freespeak II Master with IPT Transcievers and Beltpacks.
