25.01.2022 We recorded ‘For All You Give’ with Lucy Rose in Brighton in December last year - it was towards the end of a long tour for us and I remember it being a very cold winters day for our first time in Brighton. Lucy brought along her Spanish guitar and we recorded this song in the upstairs room of her producer Tim’s home where I took this photo. We captured something really special that day I think, it was a dream to record this with her and we look forward to sharing it with you. 14.01.2022 ‘For All You Give’ featuring Lucy Rose Out THIS Friday (August 21) Pre-save: https://thepaperkites.lnk.to/FAYG-presave We weren’t sure if this album was going to be possible for us to do this year, if at all, and the challenge of a collaborative record was uncharted territory for us. We’re so proud to announce that we did do it, and this Friday we’re releasing the first song from ‘Roses’. This album is a collection songs we purposely wrote to record with these artists - artists that we have a great love and appreciation for. A lot of care and thought went into writing and recording it, and we’re honoured to have worked with these truly great and remarkable singers.

10.01.2022 With all the tours and public events being cancelled around the world and people isolating themselves in their homes, it’s a strange and potentially lonely time. But what a time to lean in to art, to read, to create, music, poetry, watch that list of 100 greatest films of all time, learn to tackle that Bm chord and listen to ‘Dolly Parton’s America’. For us, we’re stockpiling demos, we’re in the studio and currently recording album 5. Album 6 is written too and we’ve got nothing but time. It’s an explosion of the arts we’re about to see when this period passes, a new era for a new decade.
09.01.2022 Sam here. I wanted to take a small amount of time to say two things. Firstly, I wanted to say that we’ve completed recording our 5th album. There have been some remarkable people involved, and given the challenges in putting it together - it’s a cherished collection of songs. Secondly, I’ve been trying to navigate the idea of us ‘releasing music’ during a global crisis. I often have feelings of irrelevance and unimportance in putting forward music that asks for attention, wh...en people are simply trying to get by the best they can. I feel little enthusiasm to promote it, but great pride in releasing it. Alas, music is a great comfort to me, and this is what we have to offer. We do it with the full realisation of your struggles, in the hope that it brings you some comfort. Sam

06.01.2022 This here is a Sigma DM-15 acoustic guitar - it was the only acoustic we used to record ‘On The Train Ride Home’ and I really love it. I first found this guitar through our touring friend Lúisa who played one, I loved it so much I bought one when I got home - and used it to write a lot of songs for ‘Train Ride’ & ‘On The Corner’. It’s a cheap guitar, but in my opinion is a damn good guitar. We decided that we’d love to give one of these guitars away to one of you - signed by ...the band.
