20.01.2022 You will have to be patient with me as I navigate social media. I wanted to share a blog from our website. It really shares why I do what I do. Why I love what I do. This journey is exciting, but scary at the same time. When I chat with some of my closest friends, most who have children too - we laugh ( and sometimes cry) as we say why didnt anyone tell me it would be like this I reflect on this a lot.... it is so hard... but oh my goodness so amazing at the same time. I ...once said that I wanted to create a village for every mother, to hold them up and support them in every way I could. I was worried I didnt have this capacity. A very wise friend said to me Nicole, it is a ripple effect - change the life of one mother and they will change the life of another I am so exited to start this ripple. 19.01.2022 We have four spots left in our baby and child first aid workshop on the 1st August 2020. Workshop runs from 10am until approximately 1230pm. Knowing what to do in an emergency situation is such important information. Includes up to date evidence based practice and lots of practical hands on training on our laerdal manikins which provide real-time feedback. In my days, newborn children could only leave the ...house for the first time after their 40th day of life. It is a period of waiting and preparing for a new life. It is the period that produces a great change." And how do you prepare for this change? "With simple, genuine and loving actions. Every morning comb your long hair with dedication and untie all the knots, even the most hidden ones that you have always neglected. It is time to put all the knots in the comb. 02.01.2022 Such a beautiful thing to remember. Even parents face this when they become parents for the first time. There is a lot to adapt to. Change needs time to adapt and become safe and secure. I know its hard when you are exhausted but babies shouldnt be pushed through theses stages. They should be supported and cuddled. Just like you should as a parent - build up your support network.
