21.01.2022 "I love community. And I really didn't have it when I became a Mum. I had family (thankfully). But not community. And thinking about it now I did used to have it.... As silly as it sounds I had it every weekend when I went to the same club... I'd see the same faces, have great chats (albeit drunk ones) and really felt like I belonged (yes I know belonging at a night club isn't something we strive for but I'm just keeping it real... I was pretty wild and free!) What makes me sad is that when I needed a community most... When I needed a 'village' it wasn't there. So I created one... But even though it was my Vision, this 'hub' is so not "mine"... It's ours. And with every enquiry, with every members pregnancy announcement, with every enrolment, with every conversation, that's the focus... community. Us walking together on this wild but beautiful ride. Here you'll feel at home. Here you'll feel connected. Here you'll feel understood. This is my mission. And whether it's a playgroup, an event or anything in between you'll leave better than you were when you came in because you feel part of this; because you are. You'll feel like you belong; because you do. There should be a hub in driving distance to all Mumma's... And hopefully one day there will be. Here are some things on offer from Yarra Ranges Council - Early Years 2 FREE online workshops for children aged 3-8 years, which explores the science and physics of speed, design, forces, and problem solving. Booking is essential as places are limited.... How Far - How High: Use science to design your paper plane Tuesday 22nd September 2020 - 10am In this fun and interactive online session, children will be actively involved in the scientific process of improving their planes. Modifications will also be a part of the session and provide an additional challenge testing their knowledge of flight principles as well as their design and problem-solving skills. But it makes us stronger, more adaptable, selfless and so much MORE. 09.01.2022 New toys coming our way!! We have just been successful with a grant application to council to invest in some new toys for our playgroups. There has never been a better time to join our hub!! We still have a couple of spots left in some of our groups for the start of 2021 so be sure to get in quick! Thanks so much to Yarra Ranges Council for their ongoing support we really do appreciate it and it helps us so much!! The kids are going to be so happy!!

08.01.2022 A special Mumma in our community has written this beautiful book and we would so love you to support her!! Meet Fergus the Flamingo!! Fergus the flamingo is a story about a flamingo that is unlike the rest of the flamingos. Fergus chooses to go against the crowd and likes to follow his heart. Fergus the flamingo is a message to our young people that it is ok to be yourself exactly the way you are and to embrace your uniqueness. This book is aimed at a target audience of three... to ten-year old's in helping them with self-discovery and leaning that they can be who they want to be. The message of Fergus the flamingo is to remind children that it's extremely important for them to learn at a young age that is ok to be different, to not necessarily feel as though they fit in and to be remember to always be themselves. To let their creativeness flow, to be who they were destined to be and to remember that things will all work out in the end. 05.01.2022 To the Mums who gave birth in 2020 (and late 2019!) So many of you have watched life slowly return to normal and it has been a little bittersweet. Seeing others have baby showers, visitors to hospital, going to mothers’ groups and having family support at home, this could have unleashed a fresh grief and sense of loss for what you missed out on during the pandemic. ... If you’re feeling that way, know that you’re not alone. It’s been such a difficult year to have a baby and however you feel right now is valid. Relief, exhaustion, sadness, elation, pride, anger, love. So much love. But you did it, mum. You did it. We are thinking of you all x

03.01.2022 We are being inundated with requests to join our playgroup.. unfortunately due to restrictions still being in place we are unable to run and are not confident that we will be able to open again until at least next year. This has been a very challenging year for us and we are very sad that this is the case... if anything changes we will announce it here. <3
