LARGE CARDBOARD BOXES NEEDED!!! if you have any large boxes laying around at home, we would ABSOLUTELY LOVE for you to drop them off at school sometime TODAY for tomorrow's SPREAD THE LOVE WEDNESDAY ... Just a reminder that tomorrow we will be collecting food (non-perishable) donations on behalf of the Monbulk Care Network Christmas Angels. Our generosity will be more appreciated than ever this year. So please join us in SPREADING the LOVE tomorrow Wednesday 16th and send along a small donation with your child or feel free to drop off items during the day yourself :-). 19.01.2022 Today the Grade 3/4s made these gorgeous Christmas houses! You can imagine the excitement of taking home their own little lollie house! Shout out to Pauleen for making 1000 litres of icing ( well I’m sure it felt like that). Another example of our wonderful staff who go home each night and keep working to give our kids amazing experiences at school. One thing we know is that our Patch kids appreciate everything they are gifted. #christmasatthepatch

19.01.2022 Hi Patch Families, Uniform Shop Information - Delays. Unfortunately we are not able to fill all of your orders yet.... The impact of COVID workplace restrictions and manufacturing shutdowns in 2020 followed by business closures during the Christmas period has resulted in ongoing delays. Some suppliers have only re-opened in the last week. We recognise that there are some families who will find these delays inconvenient, challenging and disappointing. We are disappointed too, and are very sorry that we haven't been able to supply everything to you for "back to school" like we usually do. We adore you Jennie and thank you for all the behind the scenes work you do, from our IT to running music festivals but mostly for being an amazing and caring teacher to all our Patchies. 16.01.2022 Today we had our traditional cry at the video of our year together in Preps. This year has been an extra emotional one, that’s for sure! It wasn’t the year we planned BUT we have created memories and these kids will always have a special place in our hearts because of the journey we have been through together. We can’t thank our Prep parents enough for all of the support, patience and kindness you have gifted us this year. You are all truely amazing. Alesha and Tania x

14.01.2022 Hi Everyone! I am Ollie the new 5/6A teacher Our family has been considering a tree change for a while now. When looking for a school for our kids, we discovered The Patch and felt aligned with the school’s values and sense of community. When a job opportunity presented itself, we pulled out all stops and jumped in headfirst! ... My partner Olivia and myself both changed careers when we became parents. Olivia into social enterprise and myself into education. Our kids are joining The Patch community, Zephyr in grade two and Indigo in grade one.

07.01.2022 What a beautiful few days our Prep team has had meeting all of their 2021 Preps in small groups. It was so nice for children to see the classroom they would be in and make strong connections with their teacher for next year. We are so excited to start this special journey with you all! 03.01.2022 Yay!!! Next week we get to see all of our 2021 Preps on site at school!!! You were all sent an email this week with session times. Please make sure you check the session time for your child or call the school if you have not received this information. Due to COVID restrictions these session will be in small groups run over two days. We can’t wait to see you!!!

02.01.2022 Well that is the end of a very HUGE school year!! One we have never seen before and hopefully never again. We have had a wonderful and busy week to finish with our class parties, Santa letters arriving in an ice block, Grade 6 buddy farewell activities, Grade 6 graduation, new enrolments flooding in, new grades being added, new teachers employed, rooms being moved our final farewell assembly and some sad goodbyes to staff we love! Fair to say we are all emotionally exhausted!! We wish you all a beautiful break and once again thank you for your unwavering support this year. 02.01.2022 One week until we see you all again! Don’t forget to get your hats and drink bottles ready and labelled! Teachers have been busy this week rearranging their rooms and labelling thousands of items ready for your return! A few reminders for our Prep families. Preps will be at school from 9-12.30 Thursday 28th & Fri 29th Jan. (all other grades begin on Thursday 28th but normal school hours). They will need snack and lunch. Pick up and drop off from the Prep deck on those days. They will have the first 5 Wednesdays off and will begin full time from the week beginning 8th March (Labor Day week). We can’t wait to see all of our beautiful Patch kids again soon and welcome all of our new families to our community. #newyear
