20.01.2022 Little ceramic oil lamp in the making I have been making these in different designs in the evening in my little home office. I make them using either pinch pots (like this one) or little slabs - all very basic constructions, but there endless possibilities for the shapes that can be created, and I'm having so much fun exploring them. I feel like I'm finally finding my potter's 'voice' Happy Monday, makers

17.01.2022 Propagation station Another potful of random succulent cuttings stuck in willy-nilly. I have been slowly pulling out individual plants to pot on and let the ones left have a bit more space to grow. Happy Friday, plant growers

15.01.2022 Sedum spathulifolium 'Cape Blanco' in its new hanging pinch pot Clay: Feeney's Buff Stomeware. Glaze: Northcote Shino. Fired to stoneware, around 1280C. Happy Saturday, gardeners

13.01.2022 Kurinuki mug and tea strainer inspired by @melissaweisspottery I use this mug every day, and while it's a little on the heavy side, it feels really nice in the hands and holds a good amount of comforting hot drink! I go to Lucy's (@hearth_song) facilitated studio time at the Pottery Studio at ECOSS in Wesburn on Tuesday mornings, and my pottery skills have been improving in leaps and bounds with her nurturing and guidance (and hard work keeping up with regular firings). If you're in the area, I can highly recommend Lucy's classes Clay: Walker's School Earthenware/Stoneware (some of the cheapest clay you can buy, but easy to work with for projects like this!). Glaze: Northcote Shino. Fired to stoneware, around 1280C. Happy hump day, makers

11.01.2022 A little field of leaf props I start with air propagation - just leaves in trays in a spot with bright, indirect light. Then when roots develop, they get planted in a tray of potting mix like this. Happy hump day, growers
