21.01.2022 With regard to the current Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the Penfield Model engineers Society has taken the proactive step to cancel all Public Open Days for the foreseeable future. This is in an endeavour to help reduce any impact this virus may have on our members and our visitors. Starting with the Public Open Day scheduled for Sunday the 29th of March our Public Run Days will be cancelled until further notice.... We will constantly monitor the situation and resume the Open Days as soon as possible.

18.01.2022 Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Adelaide issued at 4.30pm for tomorrow is 40C which exceeds our hot weather policy of 36C and therefore the school holiday run scheduled for tomorrow is cancelled.

An added bonus for our visitors for our first Twilight Run for the summer season was the added attraction of visiting steam locomotives and an excellent collection of scale, model rolling stock. Thankyou to all of our visitors for helping make this a most memorable and enjoyable day.

09.01.2022 Update. We are still closed and will be until more restrictions are lifted. Complying with the number of people rule and social distancing on the trains is impossible at the moment. Please stay safe . We look forward to re-opening as soon as possible.

09.01.2022 Good news. We will be open to the public on Sunday the 26th July from midday until 4.30pm. The last train will run at 4pm. We will not be taking party bookings for this day and the BBQ will not be available. COVID-19 precautions will be in place including social distancing. We are yet to see how this will work on the trains so we ask that you assist us by doing the right thing. It will likely be a slower process than normal. Cheers

Please come along and support our club Sunday 30th August noon till 4.30 pm (Last train at 4 pm) PLEASE NOTE that S.A Health Covid-19 guidelines must be complied with whilst on our site.
