Women should have about two litres (eight cups) of fluids a day, and men about 2.6 litres (10 cups). Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding need more fluid each day than other women. 20.01.2022 **ATHLETE OF THE MONTH** DECEMBER 2020- DETTA For many many years the Dettanator has been overshadowed by her sisters and other athletes until now, finally..... It's DETCEMBER! Detta has been a very valued member at the gym since it first opened in 2015. She has overcome alot of battles inside and outside of the gym aswell. Although she always appears cranky and mean, she is a kind person who would do anything to help out. Now it's time for the world to get betta like Detta! Four beautiful children that amaze me and make me proud every day and going to university at 36 to change my career I like the People's Gym CrossFit because: My gym journey started with Mitchell's boxing class at goodlife, I never liked gyms but loved that class. This led to PT sessions and then when the People's gym opened up I was hooked! I don't train everyday but I have trained here for the last 6 years because I love the people, the place and the trainers. Mitch I know I tell you to fuck off but you help me to get the best out of myself every time with your never quit attitude and thanks to you I never will!! #WeThePeople

01.01.2022 **ATHLETE OF THE MONTH** (R)OCTOBER KAYSEI - The Resident Rockstar.... Kaysei has been coming to the People's gym since 2016 and has always been a kind, caring and friendly member. This year Kaysei has definitely taken her fitness and training alot more seriously and has recruited her boyfriend Sam and little brother Mitchell to the gym aswell. She's missing less and less days and has even begun a personalised weightlifting program with coach Braydan. 2020 has been your year Kaysei, it's been great watching you kick some asses!! Nickname: - Kays - ACEKAYS - Resident Rockstar if it’s Mitch talking to me Favourite training buddy: Anyone who will tolerate me having a whinge about the workout. Extra points if they whinge with me Favourite film: Avatar, but the James Cameron, blue people version Favourite training time: 4pm! Favourite healthy food: Homemade veggie pizza Favourite role model: Probably Sammul because he’s so bloody dedicated to literally everything, especially the gym Least favourite exercise: Anything with a squat makes me feel bad things Next Fitness goal: Nothing super specific but probably get back to being able to workout without panicking. Gotta teach your mind to be strong too! Greatest achievement outside of the gym? Kinda outside the gym, kinda not because this community helped me HEAPS, but smashing my target of raising more than $5k doing World’s Greatest Shave last year was pretty huge for me! I like the ppls gym CrossFit because: Coming to the gym is a huge reminder of what I am capable of, both physically and mentally, and I had never felt so accepting or proud of myself until I started at TPG a couple of years ago. Also, this community is fiercely supportive of one another and I’m always so proud to boast about it! So grateful to have found The People's Gym. #WeThePeople
