22.01.2022 |FEMININE FEATURES| Ive spoken about the very feminine styling that is coming through this season. This current season top by @witcheryfashion is exactly that. Chiffon fabric with a delicate floral print and frill detail at the sleeves. Here Ive paired it with my navy linen culottes - also by @witcheryfashion but last season. These culottes have been released by Witchery for the last two seasons and I am expecting that theyll do the same or similar again this season. There is a percentage of elastane in the fabric which gives them a small amount of stretch but it packs a big punch in the comfort department.

Loafers are still going strong Square toe sandals are staying Thong sandals Sneakers - all colours but white are now a staple in every wardrobe. Bows are back and will be featured on shoes too. 18.01.2022 |MY SUPERPOWER| Now this is going to sound like Im bragging and Im not 100% comfortable with this. But I need you to know it..... Im really really really good at finding bargains. Im not exaggerating.... And since were sharing - I need you to also know that 85% of the clothes in my wardrobe were either purchased on sale or at a discount. I very rarely buy ANYTHING at full price. I developed this skill while I was studying at Uni. I had to learn to stretch every dollar I earned as a waitress, as far as I could to satisfy my need for fashion. What does that mean for my clients? if I can find something that suits your needs on sale then Ill recommend it. certain stores offer me discounts which I pass on to you. if I know a label is due to have a sale Ill let you know to wait. as proof of this, check out the amazing sale Im highlighting in my stories and the outfits Ive put together for you. 17.01.2022 |THE PERFECT DRESS| This is often one of the most difficult pieces to buy in a wardrobe - particularly if, on top of everything else, it is for a special occasion. The dress pictured above would be a perfect dress for my body shape. I prefer midi length dresses with a sleeve. The ideal neckline for me would be a v-neck or wrap style. I love the "almost" empire line style of this dress too. ... Many years ago, I had a wonderful dressmaker who would interpret my rough sketches and work his magic on my designs. It was a much simpler option for me to have dresses made back then. I trusted his work and it was affordable. Sadly, hes now retired. A good dressmaker is worth their weight in gold. If you know what dress styles suit you, youre half way there. Finding the right dress takes patience and a realistic expectation that you might not get something that ticks ALL of the boxes. Decide on whats important and what you can be flexible with.... 14.01.2022 |EYEWEAR| I have been wearing glasses or contact lenses since I was 13 years old. Over the years, I have definitely made some bad choices in the frames I have chosen for myself. In that process, I have learned lots about what works and what doesnt. A pair of frames is a long term purchase and often, glasses will be part of your outfit for more time than any other piece in your wardrobe. You need to choose carefully. Glasses can really age you. If the shape of the frame ...is not right for the shape of your face, it can make your overall look feel off. When you are buying a new pair of glasses, consider the following: Colour - The colour of your frames is an very important factor to consider. Do you want a frame that acts as a neutrasl and goes with most things in your wardrobe? Like tortoise shell or black? Or do you want a statement frame in a bold colour like red? Whatever bold colour you choose, think about the bold colours you have in your wardrobe already so they will tie in with existing pieces. Plastic or Metal - Plastic frames are much more durable than metal frames. If you are hard on your glasses, I would recommend the plastic. Spring Hinge or normal hinge: This adds cost to your frame but it is well worth it. The spring hinges tend to help retain the fit of your frames. Without this hinge, glasses tend to lose their shape and require visits to the optometrists to have them tightened and refitted. Plastic or glass lenses: Plastic lenses are lighter in weight but they will scratch more easily. Tinted or clear lenses - In my opinion, and it is only my opinion, tinted lenses that darken in sunlight are practical but very old fashioned. This option will be dependent on what your priority is. 12.01.2022 Is your wardrobe full of work clothes? Is that where you focus all of your $$ ? Does this mean that when you need to socialise, you never have anything to wear? Lets face it, we dont spend our whole life at work. We should have a wardrobe that caters to both our work and play lives. If your work requires you to be conservative, you may not be able to reflect your personality in your work wardrobe.... Your casual and/or your weekend wardrobe is where you can go to town with expressing yourself. Does this mean bold colours and prints? Feminine dresses? Jeans, tshirts and sneakers? Whatever it is, make sure you have the right balance in your wardrobe. Work out the amount of time you spend away from work and where you like to socialise. Then ensure you have enough pieces to coorinate a variety of outfits to meet these needs. See more

08.01.2022 |TRENDING| Id like to talk about colour and whats trending this coming Spring/Summer. In a nutshell - its either pretty soft pastels or bright colours. So far, Im seeing loads of pastels coming through, but the overseas trends are suggesting that bright orange, pink, green and blue will also be coming in. 02.01.2022 |FAVOURITE JACKET|I bought this jacket in the USA a few years ago. It is a @ralphlauren piece and I found it at an outlet store. I have worn it so many times and love it every time I wear it. I love the cord detail and the peplum design. It has a real old world/vintage feel about it. This is one of those pieces that Ill never get rid of. I LOVE IT!! TIP: When wearing all black, try and introduce a print - either in an accessory like a scarf, shoes or bag.
