10.01.2022 #WordyWednesday = Medial Epicondylitis More commonly known as Golfer’s Elbow is a painful inflammation of the tendons that connect the forearm to the elbow. The pain centres on the bony bump on the inside of your elbow and may radiate into the forearm. Golfer’s elbow is usually caused by overusing the muscles in your forearm, which lets you grip, rotate your arm, and flex your wrist. Repetitive flexing, gripping, or swinging can cause pulls or tiny tears in the tendons.... With golfer’s elbow, the pain you have can happen suddenly or with time. If you have golfer’s elbow, you might have: - Stiffness in your elbow - Tenderness and pain, usually on the inner side of your elbow or the inner side of your forearm, but you could have pain with certain movements, like making a fist. - Tingling or numbness in your fingers (usually the ring and little fingers) - Weakness in your hands and wrists Here at The Physio Joint, we will use specific exercise and manual therapy to treat the issue. Our purpose is to restore normal musculoskeletal function or to reduce pain caused by the injury. If this relates to you, don’t hesitate to click the link below and book with one of our physiotherapists. https://www.thephysiojoint.com.au/book-now #Physio #Physiotherapy #Physiotherapist #NewcastleNSW #NeckPain #BackPain #SportsPhysiotherapy #Headaches #Migraines #NeckTreatment #BackTreatment #GolfersElbow #Golf #ElbowPain

08.01.2022 Where are we? When people call to make an appointment with us for the first time, we always get the same questions. Where are you located?... Although our building is located on the main road, it can still be tricky to find us. We can be found on the 2nd floor of the Ironworker’s Centre on Maitland Road. However, there are a couple of ways that you can access us as well as various parking options. Today we are going to show you just how to access us from those various points. Back entrance We are very lucky to have another option for which you can access us. When turning off Maitland Road onto Hanbury Street, you are able to access a level one carpark from Dora Street. On this level there are both standard and disability car parks available. If we follow Damien, he will show us just how we can access the building and find The Physio Joint on level two from the back entrance.
