18.01.2022 I'm now eating for two right? What should my diet look like...... Good nutrition is essential during pregnancy to ensure the health of both mother and baby. As your child is more vulnerable to nutritional imbalance in the first trimester, a major focus should be directed to eating the right foods in the right quantities during this time. However, with your body changing, baby brain on the cards and ever-increasing to-do list, it’s hard to find time to sit yourself down and re...ally think about what it is that you and baby need in your diet. This is where we come in. An Accredited Practising Dietitian can provide invaluable support and guidance for mothers to help promote an ideal environment for your baby. 10.01.2022 With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen sporting codes affected worldwide. Competitions cancelled or modified with shorter seasons and quicker turnarounds to give the fans their fix. As a result, we have seen fields and training facilities closed leading to shorter preseasons and longer periods off training and competition. Undoubtedly this year we have also seen a larger amount of severe injuries. This morning in the NFL we saw 4 serious injuries in one team, and 3 possible ACL ruptures across the league. Is this related to the period off training? Where athletes didn’t have access to their usual services including physio, load management and strength training? It will be interesting to see the further research into this from each code and each sport and how we use this in our future practice

09.01.2022 As a part of Womens Health week, we sat down and chatted with our front of house superstar Amanda. "Women’s health to me means embracing and nurturing my body both physically and mindfully. As a Mum, I’m really focused on looking after myself with the essentials - good foods, water, exercise and plenty of rest to be the best version of myself everyday for my kids. It’s also important to practice positivity, acknowledge our worth and have the courage to ask for support if we feel lost. Do things that empower you and give you the confidence to be a good role model to the special people in your life that look up to you. Be strong, be healthy and be you."
