21.01.2022 Quadruped is a great exercise to do during the day to switch on your deep core muscles and spinal stabilisers. When we sit for long periods these muscles, which are meant to support our posture, switch off. We start to collapse through the spine, sitting in a round back position. This puts pressure onto the intervertebral discs and leads to our global muscles (big outside muscles) tightening up. Try getting up from your desk and performing this exercise to switch your deep m...uscles back on and bring attention to your posture. ... Set up with hands under shoulders and knees under hips. Lengthen through one arm and the opposite leg, until the arm is inline with the shoulder and the leg is inline with the hip. Aim to keep everything else still, watching that you dont drop through your lower back or head. ... The latest advice from the Chief Allied Health Officers, is that group indoor exercise classes, for essential allied health clinical care of up to three clients is now allowed. For now we will be offering sessions of up to 2 clients at a time, so we can maintain the high level of cleaning and sanitisation of equipment between clients. ...
