Individually, Alexis and Elliot have had formidable careers across all levels of dressage from Young Horse right up to FEI. Their strength, however, lies in their partnership by which they are each others daily coach and invaluable ‘eyes on the ground’, leading to consistent results year ...in and year out at top level. With many years of experience between them, including having trained under a number of top trainers both in Australia and overseas, Alexis and Elliot are ready to share their knowledge with riders of any age, level, experience and discipline! 24.01.2022 LAURA GRAVES CLINIC APPLICATIONS As part of her visit to Queensland, Dressage Qld is delighted to announce that Laura Graves will be conducting a two day clinic..., Monday July 22nd and Tuesday July 23rd at The Pines Performance Centre. Applications for Laura's clinic are now open and will close July 1st. In the case of oversubscription, the Dressage Qld Clinic Policy will be invoked. Lessons are $250.00 each. The Pines Performance Centre located in Brisbane is looking for a new member of the team as a full-time groom or working pupil to start mid to late January. 5 days a week on. 2 days off. Living on site in self contained studio apartment with shared toilet and shower. ... General stable duties, including but not limited too... Feeding AM and PM, rugging, stable cleaning, preparing horses for work and washing off after work. General cleaning of property and facilities and keeping everything tidy and in order. Preparing feeds and hay bags daily. Must be confident with handling large warmbloods including stallions and young horses. Elliot and I are very involved with the daily routine and 5 star management of our personal horses and clients horses. We require an individual that understands this and strives to excel. As we are very involved we are after a happy self motivated and organised person with an exceptional eye for detail, who can work in a team and with the ability to work unsupervised. All applicants will require a very good work ethic. The absolute best attention is expected with a genuine care for all horses on our property. Previous experience with Performance horse care preferred. Drivers Licence is required. By nature of the job the hours can vary due to outside factors eg vets, farriers, transports, clients, shows etc The working pupil position includes a horse to accompany you in a stable position in our barn with lessons included . Catherine and Tyson Flannery’s beautiful San Amour mare She’s Nice, finished overall Open Medium Champion. Thankyou to the sponsor of the class Equine Edge Rehabilitation. Elliot’s other ride for the weekend was Georgie Cham’s mare Laquestar. This ever trying mare gave her all considering Elliot had 5 rides on her before the show. She finished 3rd overall in the Open Advanced Champi...onship. Thankyou Equistore for sponsoring the classes. 17.01.2022 Great start to the competition season for 2020 at the QLD Dressage Series. Doris and Alexis competed in the PSG scoring 71.9% and 1st place. She also had he first attempt at the Inter 1 showing some great work and finishing on a score of 69.9%. Alexis also rode the beautiful Furstenball mare Jazdan Fascination (owned by Anna Fullarton), who we are currently offering for sale. She competed in her first medium tests of her career scoring 67.5% and 68.2%. She also had a great... showing in the elementary class scoring 71.1%. This mare is such a trying horse, always giving 110%. Elliot had a full weekend, competing young horses to gain qualifiers for championship competitions in a few months. Fritzio (by Florencio), owned by Elliot and Alexis was a well behaved 4 year old stallion placing 1st and 2nd in the 2 rounds respectively. Paul and Emma Weel's beautiful Vivaldi/Sandro Hit mare Riveroak Vogue made her Australian debut in the 5 year old rounds with a great result of 8 and 7.8. We are super excited to see how this pocket rocket progresses through out the year. Elliot competed 2 horses in the 6 year rounds, Valhalla 1( by Vitalis) owned by himself and Alexis. And Gut Neuenhof Eleganze (by Estobar) owned by Ashlie Waters and Vision International Forwarding . Both horses tried their hardest considering being green at the level. Elle (Eleganze) showed what potential she has to be a future star scoring above 8 in both rounds. Elliot and Alexis' clients competing at the competition also achieved success with their own personal goals for the start of the competition year attained. Some highlights were Amanda Finnimore achieving a great result on her Belissimo gelding Bellara Belvedere in the medium 4B with a score over 70% and 1st place. Lucy Pearcy had a great stat to the year on Revelwood Ovaltine scoring 73.6% and 70% in the novice and elementary respectively. Alexis and Elliot look forward to continuing helping their clients achieve all they hope to for 2020 both at home and in the competition arena. Thankyou to the organisers of the QLD Dressage Series events, Kristy Battista and Ashlie Pryde, as well as all the volunteers. Thankyou to the Judges and Stewards for your time over the weekend. 13.01.2022 Sydney CDI 2019 Valhalla And Elliot were on fire, winning both the first and second rounds of the Widderstein Stables 5 year old Young horse Championship with scores of 87.8% and 83.6% . We are very proud to have bred and own such an impressive horse. Our other home bred horse, Daenarys, behaved very well and is building strength to finish with a 78.8% for 6th and 75.6% for 7th respectively in the first and second round of the 5 year old classes. Ashlie water’s Kira Km was... a very well behaved Dutch lady in the HHSA 4 year old young horse championships. The beautiful Doris Day did not disappoint, after winning the 7 year old classes at Dressage With The Stars in March she stepped up to compete in the I.R.T Advanced tournament winning all 3 classes with scores of 71.90% , 74.05% and 75.48% for her first attempt at a freestyle. This beautiful girl by Desperados x Florencio is such an over achiever and is so much fun to ride. 2nd place in the PSG , 1st place in the intermediate 1 and a win in her first intermediate freestyle. Emma and Paul Weel’s Amazing moving 5 year old Vivaldi mare, Riverview Vogue was 2nd in the 2c on 74.45% just behind their other amazing horse Faberge ridden by Nicole Tough and also 8th on 71.6 in the 2b. Vogue shows a exciting talent for Grand Prix. Revelwood Deboniaire owned by Lee Muir and John Clarke . This hugely impressive rising 7 year old De Niro gelding Gained a 71.25% for 9th in a huge field of quality horses. Lord Lachlan had his debut start at medium level with Elliot and did not disappoint. This beautiful elegant 8 year old Licotus gelding gained a 3rd in the 4b with 69.12 % and 7th in the 4c 66.6%. The ever amazing 18.3 hh rising 7 year old Vitalis gelding , Valhalla I took out a 2nd in the 5b . In his Amazing Attempt of the 5c - unfortunately he hit his splint on the inside of his leg in the final medium trot and Elliot made the decision to retire him to make sure he was ok. The handsome Florencio rising 5 year old gelding , Fritzio was such a star at his 2nd ever outing . 71% and 72% in the preliminary tests for 6th place in both. Well done to our many clients on their amazing achievements over the show in particular the AAOR champion Medium and Advanced winner Mandy Weekes on Bellara Belvedere and AAOR small tour winner Lee Muir Clarke on Davinci l. 08.01.2022 Dressage with the stars. Crazy to think we own all 3 and have bred 2 of these amazing horse. Since spending a lot of last year overseas away from the 3 horses, they have all stepped up accordingly. Having attended this show for over 10 years the quality of horses has significantly developed and a huge congratulations must be given to the breeders around Australia. Bluefields Doris Day (Desperados x Florencio) Doris was purchased as an unbroken horse from the paddock. She h...as been produced over the years by Elliot and myself and has really started to come into her own. We feel this horse will be a very exciting FEI horse in the years to come. For Doris to take out the 7 year old championship was a great result in a field of classy horses. Daenarys (De niro x Freestyle) and Valhalla ( Vitalis x epsom) finished 4th and 5th respectively in the 5 year old Australian Young Horse championship. There is huge satisfaction for Elliot and I in choosing the breeding, raring them as young horses, breaking them in and producing them up the levels. We thoroughly enjoy creating these amazing horses that we own. Thank you to Tessa Frank and Matthew Dowsley for your help. 07.01.2022 Hi Guys, We hope that in these concerning times that everyone is staying safe and healthy. We have some limited spaces available for horses in training. As the situation is changing frequently, we have moved our teaching focus to online video lessons. All that is needed is an Ipad and Phone with earphones... and someone to video of course. Ideally fairly good phone internet coverage is needed as well. This is proving to be a great alternative to travelling for lessons. For anyone that is interested or wants to know more please PM us or Alexis' private FB.

The beautiful Doris day did not disappoint with a 3rd ...place in the open PSG on 70% and 3rd place In the young horse PSG on 69% . For her 3rd and 4th attempt at competing at this level, I am very pleased with how she performed for being a green 8 year old in a very seasoned field of beautiful horses. Doris is a beautiful young mare and we are very excited for her future. Doris has managed to fill some pretty big shoes for me this year and I am very grateful for how she has taken 2019 in her stride. Belle is straightforward to ride with talent to progress up the levels , she is showing talent for the collected work including the piaffe and passage. Belle has been campaigned extensively across Australia including top class shows like DWTS and Boneo CDI by her amateur owner and also professional riders. ... Some Duties include : feeding / ...cleaning of stables/ turning horses out to the paddocks / tacking up and down of horses/ General cleaning and keeping everything tidy. Applicants must be able to work in a team and unsupervised, be upbeat, handle warmbloods, have attention to detail and have good time management skills. This is not a riding position but there maybe the opportunity for some riding. Accomodation included and opportunity to bring a horse in the working pupil position. Minimum 6 months. 02.01.2022 QSEC CLINIC ~ ELLIOT PATTERSON We have secured a date for the first of hopefully our regular clinics at QSEC. The date is Tuesday the 12th of March. We have received a lot of interest which is awesome but obviously not everyone will be able to attend this day due to day/time constraints. As mentioned we hope to make it a regular day every couple of weeks and hopefully that allows for everyone interested to be involved. At this stage Elliot has hired indoor arena 2 for 10 x 4...5 minute lessons starting at 10:45. If we have an overwhelming amount of numbers (more than 10) we can either look to extend our allocated time or perhaps we both teach at once. ( would have to confirm with QSEC for that one).
