24.01.2022 Spoilt rotten. The perks of self isolation - when your kids make brekky. #alwaysanupside

21.01.2022 I don’t usually drink wine from a coffee cup. But desperate times call for desperate measures. As we sneak away from iso with kids, and find a quiet place To contemplate and celebrate ... The last 22 years. Cheers to you Soldier. I love and adore you. #celebration #marriage #isolation See more

21.01.2022 Today I talked about the gift of The Long Game to a group of online marketers. Success for me in that industry did not happen quickly. And I found the stark reality of that both confronting and bewildering.... But there was an unexpected blessing in building my business slowly. What I lacked in speed, I grew in depth. I had to dig deeply to find the grit and courage and humility to continue, when the easy option would have been to abandon it for something shinier and more immediate. As Robin Sharma once said, a great life is not built by revolution, but evolution. The small wins matter. Our days are merely life in miniature. The presentation where we really connect with at least one person in the audience - matters. The job we do, the consistent tasks done daily. The courage and grit to show up every day, And do our best even when we don’t see the results yet. Because the moulding creates a vessel that eventually holds water.#business #joy success

20.01.2022 As a property developer, I’ve seen my share of highs and lows. Here are my 5 best money tips to keep your head above water when times are tough. #moneymatters #cashflow #thepinkhardhat

19.01.2022 Alignment. Something you don’t truly appreciate until you find it. Again. For years as a property developer, I set about building beautiful places I hoped people would find joy and peace in. And in the process I lost myself.... One day I looked at my story and realised I was tired. Of the risk and stress. I had to focus on something bigger. I had to rediscover my own peace first. And do you know what I found? Joy and success is better shared. #joy #peace #sisterhood See more

19.01.2022 Here’s an example of 2 Millenials undaunted. I’m so proud of my niece and nephew and their new podcast series The Double Shot. If you’re a property junkie and looking for clarity and insight you can’t go past @alexfitzlala and @_jamesfitzgerald_

19.01.2022 For those of you that have read my book, my story begins with my grandmother’s money mattress; A literal stash of cash she kept hidden so she could sleep at night, knowing that come what may, she’d be ok. ... Well I’ve built my life and businesses on that principle. And so have the people in this photo. This time last week, we gathered in Arizona with the world leader in our online franchise. We talked business, but mostly laughed and shared our stories. The real reason I do this, beyond mind blowing health, is the sleep at night factor, knowing that, this time around, I can bring others with me. #team #passion #purpose #sisterhood See more

17.01.2022 Where all good presentations start. I have a tough crowd - talking to a discerning bunch of 15 year olds tomorrow about the 3 principles of money & happiness you’ll never learn in school as part of a broader self-care collaboration with psychologists and health workers.... Then backing it up With a presentation to their parents on Saturday. ... Very excited! #payingitforward #speaker #thepinkhardhat See more

14.01.2022 http://Arrived in Phoenix. Predictably perhaps, we got separated at LA airport as James’ military service always affords him special treatment with border protection in a back room with no phone reception. But fortunately our American Airlines flight was delayed, so I managed to find him before leaving the state. Given the address of the retreat, we rocked up, ... looking pretty ordinary, only to find that the cocktail party is there in 6 hours time! Eventually found the hotel, Freshened up, And returned to the party. To meet the most amazing people ever. Ha and I wore the dress! So all’s well that ends well. #travel #adventure #funtimes See more

11.01.2022 This week, coaching a writer who lives in New York, we came to her block, but I don’t want to appear salesy, she said. And because she loves words, I told her this story which might help you in your business and life. "You have a gift.... A rare and precious gift. And your job while on earth is to present it. That’s why it is called a present. A gift only has value, when presented. You can spend your life wrapping it, making it perfect and presentable. But if never presented, it will have no value. You don’t want to die with the gift still in you. Yet sadly, people do this all the time. Because, there’s a catch. There’s always an exchange. Your gift’s value is determined by the person receiving it. That is called the market. If given to the wrong person or people, it may be criticised and returned. Or deemed of little or no value. Causing you to doubt both yourself and your gift. You look at other people’s presents, and how they’re wrapped, and imagine them to be so much more worthy than yours. This is a soulless distraction. The key to realising your value is discernment. You have to find the people your gift is intended for. There might be 200 or 2 million of them. The fewer the number, the more coveted and priceless your gift. This is called marketing. And when you find them, the exchange is seamless. You’re greeted warmly, with relief. Finally! I found you! You get me! I feel like I’ve known you forever. I thought you’d never get here. They grab your present and open it like a delighted child. And you feel cherished." So know the value of your gift To the people it is intended for. Find them, and make the exchange And it will never feel like sales. #sales #marketing #gift (for more of my blogs go to: https://www.thepinkhardhat.com.au/)

08.01.2022 #IWD2020. Be yourself.

05.01.2022 As we sit here in iso, doing puzzles as a family, I’m thinking about a conversation I had yesterday. I was asked by a Millennial how I can possibly understand the plight of a young person, with no income, in today’s pandemic. Here’s how. ... I write on financial insulation because I’ve sadly earned the right. This is not an initiation anyone wants, but having come through it, here’s what I learned: There will be winners and losers in this pandemic. Businesses and organisations that adapt quickly and extend their online offerings, and those that haven’t got that luxury as the whole industry is stood down. The Pink Hard Hat is a philosophy of protection, insulation and intention around money and business. The rug was pulled from under me when my husband left for the Iraq War in 2003. Then again in the floods of 2011. Then when my builder went broke in 2016. And then this pandemic which doesn’t distinguish between age, gender, education or expertise. But here’s the thing. Mindset’s not a lofty idea when coupled with action. Our response to how we evolve through this is in our control. Diversification and multiple income streams is a prudent response to life’s interruptions. Of my multiple income streams, 4 have stopped, but one has continued to grow. I understand the shock. I understand the pivot and I understand the need to up-skill quickly, to feel more secure. I extend that invitation to those looking for guidance to grow beyond this. And if not, I’m simply here as a sounding board and friend. #optimism #hope #mindset

01.01.2022 This week, for the first time in my life, I had a prophesy spoken over me by someone I've known many years and trust implicitly. For some people, they relate more to the forecast of the day, weather, energy, flow. Regardless of where and how you find guidance though, this has been a valuable reminder that ... potential once seen by someone else and spoken into your life helps you see definition in your own practice and is a gift of tremendous clarity and peace. Take the time today, to speak potential into the lives of those you care about. It is an investment that reaps great reward. #listening #wordstoliveby #clarity
