24.01.2022 Kia ora whanau So...the saga of the Edison Street Plaza continues As of last week, the owner of the mini mart has sold the business. As our cooking and kitchen equipment is all sourced via the owner, and the new owner has chosen to open his own fish and chip shop, we will be vacating the doomed plaza and relocating to anywhere! ... We wouldn't want us as competition on the same strip either so Chur Chur brother At this stage we have secured a spot at the famous Bushy Beach Markets with our eye out for a food van. And if any whanau out there have a certified food van, truck, trailer or anything we may be able to turn into a meke kitchen on wheels, flick us a message. Much aroha whanau.

19.01.2022 UPDATED POST. HANGIS WILL BE OUT AT 630 TONIGHT. BIT BIGGER THAN USUAL SO CHEF WANTS TO MAKE SURE SHE'S YUMMY ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Happy Waitangi Day AND happy birthday to Uncle Bob.... Open from 2pm with Hangis due out at 430pm. Nice and fresh after mahi so if you haven't already, make sure to pre order. Chef Ds also got some NZ hotdogs and fresh seafood chowder on the boil. 19.01.2022 UPDATED POST NQ Marina have come through with the fish so it's on brothers! No mussel fritters or whitebait but you can't win em all FRESH RAW FISH TODAY ... Morena whanau. So our suppliers all take the Sunday off and we can't re stock our kai Moana. But we don't take Sundays off. So we decided to have a fried chicken and chips special! A few of you fullas have been in the last few days and tried out the new fried chicken we have. So far it's been a massive hit and since the fish don't wanna swim, we are gonna use the day to test out the poultry dish 3 pieces of fried chicken and chips Only $10 If she's a winner, we'll whack her up on the board. Hangis from 2pm but they flying out the door so best to preorder. Boil ups on as well brothers and as always fry bread for days Don't forget to grab your loyalty card and a menu when u come in. 12.01.2022 Kia ora whanau Had a meke day celebrating and relaxing with my beautiful whanau for Waitangi Day at the Western Lions. Mean as Hangi fullas. We are open and ready to see you all again on this fine ass day in the Ville. Feeling refreshed and hungry for Mahi so come in a share a story or 2. ... Koro is on his way back from Sydney and he is loaded with Kai Moana from the aunties Chur But weather down there is still pretty hostile and he was delayed so the goodies will be ready to go next week. NZ whitebait - fritters, omelettes...the usual NZ flounder - grilled with chips and eggs Phat as mussels for our famous house made fritters and marinated mussels. And of course, we got some battered oysters for you all. No, not bluff sorry whanau but we'll find em. For now we got some sydney rock oysters and they are fat tasty bad boys if I do say so myself Come down say hi to me and my new sidekick Willow. But we will be throwing a little get together on Thursday. NZ KAI ONLY on Waitangi Day (this Thursday) HANGIS - pumpkin, potato, kumera, cabbage, stuffing, lamb, chick, pork and a piece of our famous fry bread. $22 BOIL UP - pork or ham bone (depending on what we get that day), and hopefully some watercress will find it's way to us on this dry little island but if not, Chinese cabbage.
