I finally just put these cute little shelves (bought @home_dweller ) up on our wall, keeping it simple with a few life treasures and a pothos cutting. ... . . 14.01.2022 This is me... pretending to water my plants and laughing to @home_dweller (taking the photos) at how awkward I am trying to pose for photos (nothing like my friend @ashtogold who looks so natural in her work ). . . I absolutely love plants. My passion started when we moved to our current house and Joy the previous owner left me with an established succulent garden. It then turned to cacti (outdoors) and then slowly it crept inside ... tho mostly in the last 18 months the ins...ide collection has exploded. . . Above all else I am a mum to three girls. I have been mostly a stay at home parent for the last 10 years which meant I had a lot of ‘energy’ and creativity that needed an outlet before I went ... well ... crazy mad without something that really filled my bucket. The plant bunker has been all that for me and so much more, and hopefully 2021 will be even more fun ... with bigger and better things in the pipeline. . . 05.01.2022 Oh this is tots me... except another child, *some* more plants that a scarcely get around to watering and two budgies and their soon to be babies... a few people have asked me how I water / look after so many plants, and the truth is *sometimes* I wish I didn’t have so many as I can’t keep up with them especially with such hot days when they dry out so quickly and every ‘routine’ I try to follow doesn’t really work. I do mostly try to stick with plants that don’t mind drying ...out (lucky I love rhipsalis and cacti!) and recently I bought a bunch of 2L water bottles that I fill up and leave next to the sink and grad one when I get 5min to do a small section of the house, as it doesn’t seem as big a job if it is bitten off into small sections. . . But for all the times I curse myself for having so many plants there are still plenty more times I’m glad I have them ... and go and add another to the collection - I guess that’s why we’re labeled #crazyplantpeople . . . 01.01.2022 I said I would share photos of my own plants and plant filled space for a while now and I don’t seem to get around to it. Well, right this moment I don’t have any kids with me and this particular layer of my house is *almost* perfectly clean (of course I’m not going to show you the photos of all the shopping bags and junk to sort on the other side of the kitchen ). This is also only a start of the plant craziness... . . It’s the styling with plants that I love the most.... . . I love to help people choose the right plants for a particular space and help piece it together with plant ‘accessories’ for the perfect look. My sidekick @banter_vintage is also pretty darn clever at this too. . . I use to stick to the rule of three in styling, but that kind of goes out the window when you can’t stop buying plants - now I’m more into the rule of 300 + / jungle vibe. (Just remember to leave some white space to let the eye relax). . . . . I think that’s why our little studio is different to others - if you want help with plants, advice in keeping them happy and of course styling we have this in spades. . .
