25.01.2022 Morning tea guests of the day! Centenarian Joyce Abra with her granddaughter Rachael Hempling and great granddaughter Rose Hempling. (Note: Mindful of the health risk to Barraba’s many elderly residents, The Playhouse Hotel cafe is not currently operating. Rachael and her sister and their daughters are hotel guests, and they asked if they could have a small open air family gathering to spend some private time with Joyce.)

18.01.2022 Guests of the Day! Alan Reed and his son Simon. Alan was born in Barraba. He met his future wife Helen Spencer at the pictures when Clifton Hall was the town cinema. They were happily married for 61 years.

Five intrepid bikers, all from the Gold Coast, all riding KTM motorcycles, spent the night on the way to and again on the way back from being spectators at the Australian round of the World Superbike Races on Phillip Island. L to R: Bruce, Warren, Tony, Laurie and Gavan. (They told us the destination was really just an excuse for the ride, which was carefully planned to include as many dirt roads as possible.)
