24.01.2022 A brief BOOK REVIEW| This time it's The Book by Keith Houston, and like his previous work, Shady Characters, it is well researched and beautifully produced. Quarter bound, debossed and foiled, gorgeously ornamented, nice paper. And a near-naked strawboard cover! This is the history of the book, from papyrus in ancient Egypt to paper size standardisation in the 20th century. Interesting and thoroughly enjoyable.

05.01.2022 The Edmund Rice Centre WA does vital work helping refugees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Their youth work, in particular, really kicks goals! They use sport and the arts to improve opportunity and educational outcomes, and build confidence and self-reliance.
