It scoops like a lotion and breaks down effortlessly. Application is smooth and slick. The control offered reminds me of a medium oil based pomade, its slick and allows the hair to relax into a style. There is no dryness which is a common feature in many water based pomades. Hold is a perfect firm-medium. Its styles like a smooth firm and settles into a firm-medium that lasts all day. Washout is clean with 1 shampoo. This has become my favourite every day pomade. 01.01.2022 5 star review from Ryan James: Brand name says it All Triumph and Disaster - Triumph, fragrance it's honestly a pretty good smelling cream, and while that may give the nostalgia benefiting a gentleman's morning ritual this brings me to the other important factor in shaving creams. Disaster, the lather, building up a rich, thick lather that can see you through to the end of the shaving ritual is absolutely missing. I've used many different brands and creams/ soaps an...d this is one of the poorest I've tried. I use a shaving brush (tried a few on this product as well) to build up the lather and this is near impossible to build up a rich, thick lather. I've found that if you can get something that by the time you start shaving it's disappearing at a rate of knots and you need to continually reapply. Buy if you are interested in the fragrance, don't if you want to be able to build a semi decent or above lather.
