Were busy keeping up with the changing regulations around Social Distancing, but determined to stay open for as long as possible in order to provide you with a safe & friendly place stay. Based on the new regulations released this afternoon, we have rearranged our furniture in both our indoor and outdoor seating areas to allow for proper social distancing.... All our games and books have been removed along with anything else that is difficult to disinfect. Again, were minimising touch points and increasing our already rigorous cleaning schedule. We have now moved to a cashless payment system and ask that you use your card to make payments. We didnt end up having pizza but there were a few games to keep the kids amused while daddy had a tasting board of beers from @sowandp...iglets micro brewery in the the backpackers. In all my years of travelling I have to admit Ive never stayed in a backpackers. Scandalous I know. If more of them had breweries attached I may be tempted. A great spot for a quiet brew. We shouldve had pizza there but I really felt like a chicken parma. "Michelle", I said, "when there isnt a Chinese take-away in town the next best thing is a chicken parma from a pub. Nobody ever stuffs up a chicken parma. So when in doubt have the parma." Youve already guessed what happens next havent you. Yep. With new regulations due to come into effect from midnight tonight, weve decided to close our accomodation. We do this with the safety & wellbeing of our local community in mind. For as long as we are able to, we will offer take-away beers & pizza to those who live locally. Port Campbell is a small community, a seaside community, built on the strength of local people weathering storms and helping each other.
