12.01.2022 The Post Office Cottage - Greenhills was built in 1899 to service the community of Greenhills 23km east of York. It served as a fully operational Post Office to a population of nearly 3000 until 1954 when it was decommissioned and turned into a private residence. Over the years the cottage fell into disrepair but was saved in 2005 from almost certain demolition and turned into holiday accommodation. We purchased the Post Office Cottage at Greenhills in 2013 where we took up r...esidence and since taking over Spooky Hall Motel in York, have seen a need for more unique accommodation in the area. The Post Office Cottage - Greenhills is a fylly self contained 2 bedroom cottage with polished floorboards, ornate ceilings, is wood fired and has ducted heating/ cooling.
