24.01.2022 My heart sings today for Maria who is at her forever home with her aunty. She had a very tragic start to life and was fortunate to be in the loving care of Cradle of Love Baby Home. Her education will be sponsored by Giving Smiles (https://givingsmiles.org). Its a happy/sad day as shell be missed at Cradle. This wonderful outcome was made possible by the generosity and caring of others. Thank you

24.01.2022 We were lucky enough to meet Mama Max on our Roho & Tribe Immersion Trip. She is one in a million! Read about her in The Small Things blog below.

23.01.2022 More gifts, this time from Sweden. Moyo Friends, extraordinary kindness and compassion combined with big hearts and action. Thank you!

22.01.2022 The amazing monthly sponsors to The Power Of One Project contributed towards meeting the staffs wages. COVID-19 has far-reaching effects but fortunately there are those who are able to offer their support and enable these wonderful people to take care of their own families while taking care of "our" babies at Cradle. Thank you!

20.01.2022 (For my European friends and family, you can also donate to the German Organisation, "Giving Smiles" by pressing the donate button who support the Cradle of Love Baby Home.) Introducing baby Calvin who was born on 30 June weighing 3.6kg. At 3 months he’s only gained just under kg. His mother, Fausta, is HIV positive and has tuberculosis and is currently very unwell and in hospital. She was abandoned by her husband (a very common story in Tanzania) and has no relatives t...o offer assistance. Fortunately, a neighbour realised she was struggling and helped her to hospital. Social Welfare intervened and asked the Cradle of Love Baby Home to care for Calvin. He’s in very poor condition, with a severe nappy rash infection and is obviously malnourished. But it’s not only Calvin that needs help. In Tanzania, families provide food, clothing and bedding for inpatients. Other patients have been sharing their food with Fausta. She is so frail and weak that she’s unable to hold the baby or breastfeed him. Fausta has 4 other children and because she’s been so incapacitated, she doesn’t know where they are. Cradle of Love’s social worker, Glory, will be endeavouring to find them and to initiate a plan for them and for Baby Calvin. I think it’s impossible to imagine being in those circumstances? It will cost $6 for Fausta to have daily meals while a hospital inpatient. Medications for HIV and tuberculosis are paid for by the government but Fausta desperately needs a nutritious diet right now to support her recovery! The Power Of One Project will be donating towards Fausta’s food and future plan for her family. If you’d like to be a part of that, simply visit www.thepowerofoneproject.com.au. You can make a one-off donation specifically for Fausta and Calvin, or join the 1,000 Club regularly sponsoring the life-saving work that Cradle of Love undertakes. If you need more information, don’t hesitate to call me on 0412 34 5656. Many small actions cause big impacts! See more

20.01.2022 Our monthly sponsorships paid for the weekly shopping at Cradle of Love this week together with the purchase of a new pump! I appreciate you all so much

19.01.2022 Remember Fausta and Baby Calvin! Look at these beautiful photos and how healthy and happy they both look. This made my heart soar!

19.01.2022 This is such wonderful news and the hope for all the babies at Cradle of Love! Look at Brianna and Brian, reunited with their family. Lets wish that another miracle occurs and their Mama returns to be with them all too! www.thepowerofoneproject.com.au or 0412345656 or [email protected] for more information or if youd like to be a member of the 1000 Club, making a difference for as little as $10 a month.

18.01.2022 This courageous, resilient and hard-working woman needs a hand-up. Read the short story to appreciate how difficult life is for some, and they never give up. If this touches your heart, please give generously

18.01.2022 This is Jacky who came to Cradle of Love having been abandoned at 1 year old. Keeping her healthy has been a struggle and the staff at Cradle of Love have been working hard to regain her strength and improve her breathing. Treatment for her allergies has been supported by a variety of volunteers and donors and now, happily, Jacky has been reviewed by an ENT Specialist and the plan is to remove her troublesome adenoids. She was admitted to Nkoaranga Hospital today, for her preoperative workup including a blood transfusion. We wish her all the very best and send our love to everyone at CofL who have been caring so well for this gorgeous little girl. Anita is ready with all the cuddles and love, and as a representative of Colorful Steps, the medical partners to CofL (https://www.colorfulstepstanzania.de) Yay Anita.

17.01.2022 Deborah, David and George were all brought to Cradle of Love Baby Home having been abandoned and sadly no family has been located for reunification. Because of Cradles commitment in planning a bright future for each child that comes into their care, a decision was made to find a permanent home for these little ones. Havilah Childrens Village (https://havilahvillage.weebly.com/) will continue to love and nurture and care for Deborah, David and George. They were welcomed wi...th sweet singing by Gift, Esther and Costa and other Village children. There is already a strong connection and partnership with Havilah as many of their children were initially rescued and cared for at Cradle. Cradle of Love is so grateful to volunteers, donors, fundraisers, doctors, Cradle staff and the Social Welfare Department for their involvement and contributions to the lives of our babies. To enable Cradle to continue its life-saving work, now more than ever, your donation will make a difference. Please consider joining the 1,000 Club and for as little as $10 a month you can make a difference in the lives of some of the worlds most vulnerable children. Simply go to www.thepowerofoneproject.com.au. Any gift is appreciated, either a one-off donation or by becoming a regular monthly sponsor. See more

16.01.2022 Happy New Year! I wanted to share that today I transferred $1,272.76, (sponsorship from November and December) directly to the Cradle of Love Baby Home. I also wanted you to meet "our" newest baby - Yohana - born on 6/11/2020 and weighing on arrival at Cradle a tiny 2.3kg. Sadly, Yohana's Mama, died a few weeks ago from tuberculosis and HIV. Fortunately Yohana is negative for TB and Cradle is awaiting the results of his HIV status. He looks well and the Nannies say he is feeding well. I'm sure with their special loving care he will flourish. Thank you again for your ongoing generosity allowing Cradle to continue their wonderful work. I am so grateful.

15.01.2022 I normally transfer monthly sponsorships every two months but this is a call for help from Cradle Of Love. Due to the pandemic, there are no volunteers assisting and filling the gaps for Cradle. The staff have been working tirelessly with everyone involved in keeping the babies safe, loved, fed and healthy. Ive just transferred $1,430.96 directly to Cradle of Love to support the staff. The fallout, of course, is that they depend on their wages to care for their own famil...ies. Please, if this is something that calls to you (and I know this is a very difficult time to ask!) you can make a difference by gifting/sponsoring directly. Visit www.thepowerofoneproject.com.au and follow the instructions to be a monthly supporter or a one-off supporter. Really, anything you give will make a difference. Thank you for being someone who cares. See more

15.01.2022 Cradle babies need your support. The pandemic has hit the Cradle of Love Baby Home very hard (like everyone else I know) and they are desperate for funds to purchase baby formula. Can you help, either by donating a bit, or by sharing. Im so grateful for your support.

15.01.2022 I’m so grateful to the Manager at Cradle of Love, Psteen Nuru, who always follows up with photos or a message about how donated funds are used. Here is Fausta in hospital and, Jane, who will provide nutritional food and clean water for Fausta each day. There’s even a menu! We’re sending our hopes and wishes that Fausta and her family will be well and altogether again very soon. If you'd like to be involved, simply visit www.thepowerofoneproject.com.au to make a one-off donation or join the "1,000 Club" and become a regular monthly sponsor. ANY amount is appreciated.

14.01.2022 "Our" babies at Cradle of Love are so fortunate to have Nannies like Mama Sayuni who give so much care and nurture. Look at all that LOVE Would you like to be part of the 1,000 Club and support the life-saving work of Cradle of Love. Simply visit www.thepowerofoneproject.com.au and for as little as $10 a month, you make that kind of difference.

07.01.2022 Get to know a little more about Mwamvua

06.01.2022 Our toddlers with their teacher - having fun singing and learning

04.01.2022 Our hearts are breaking. George Floyds tragic death is the latest in the list of many who have lost their lives as a result of senseless actions. I share in the outrage being expressed across the world to denounce these injustices and the centuries of racism and entrenched inequalities they represent. I dream of a world where no child is born into poverty or communities are without basic necessities such as clean water and sanitation, education and safety. I dream of an equitable and just world where race, ethnicity and poverty are not barriers to opportunity.

04.01.2022 Thank You never ever expresses how grateful The Power Of One Project is!

03.01.2022 Where is our outrage?

02.01.2022 Fun in the sun with the Nannies at Cradle of Love

01.01.2022 Welcome baby Happiness to Cradle of Love. Theyll love and care for her until she can be with her family again. What a tragedy to lose her Mama.

01.01.2022 Our little ones at Cradle of Love, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine and the love of Nannies and the amazing Anita who has been volunteering there for a year!
