15.01.2022 TAKE ACTION Is it time to change your life? Is it time to leave old patterns behind? Hello, my name is Clara and I work as hypnotherapist (the use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes) focusing on people suffering from anxiety and stress. Working with anxiety what I notice is a sense of loss: loss of self, loss of pathway and direction, loss of confidence, loss of the ability to be happy just because, loss of willingness. It is almost as if something is missing, but y...ou are not able to exactly pinpoint what it is that is missing, but you know it is missing and you feel you need or want to find it. The difficulty is how to find something you don't know what is. The answer? Action. Take action towards finding it. Recognizing that something is not quite right, is the first step, and a very important one (a lot of people spend their whole life not being able to come to this realisation), but is not enough. If you want to change your life and find that missing bit that has been missing from you for so long, it is time to take action towards it. The first action is to seek help. Find someone that fits in with you: a friends, a relative, a professional. Understand, and be in peace with the fact, that maybe alone it is harder, more difficult and it might take longer. There is no shame on that. Once you do this, you will instantly and naturally feel yourself stronger. You know why? Because recognising that you need someone else to help you with your life is not a sign of weakness, it is a sing of someone strong enough to know that there is something more to life. Allow yourself to change. It is so common for people to want to change, but deep inside they don't allow themselves to that. And believe one thing: our mind is so good at not allowing ourselves to change that it will do that without us noticing it. The mind thinks it is protecting you this way. So, allow yourself, and allow the mind to understand and to feel that the change is for good. So, if you think it is time to set things straight with yourself and with your mind, and start playing the same game, if you think it is time to change things around you and start letting life happen the way you desire it to happen, then I say IT IS TIME! It is hard to do that when the mind is cluttered, the thoughts are somewhat messy and unorganised, there is a sense of lack of direction in life. Far from showing you a pendulum and putting ...you to sleep, in hypnosis I will help you declutter your mind so you will find the direction that seems lost. I will help you clear your thoughts and quiet the mind. Well, this is only the initial steps really, with the therapeutic part we go even further... By changing the person you are now, the stress and anxiety will start to melt away. So, how to change your future? Start by changing yourself NOW. Give yourself permission to become someone else. Someone freer, happier, give yourself permission to gain new perspectives in life, change your habits. Allow yourself to become a new you. Yes, hypnosis does work. The power of you!

10.01.2022 Anxiety? Why use hypnosis? I would say that about 70% of people that come to see me have never experienced hypnosis (or at least they think they haven't). And funnily enough, 100% of these people have the idea that hypnosis involves loss of self-control, doing things you wouldn't normally do otherwise, telling the therapist your deepest secrets. If it only worked like that, I would've hypnotised my husband to do the dishes, the children to stop crying when I want them to, and... most importantly, I would've hypnotised myself to be perfect in every way. No, hypnosis is far from the concept the movies show us. I once had a client who, during the session and in deep trance, said "Wow, this is better than taking drugs". Now, no judgement on anyone's preference. And please, this is not the aim of hypnotherapy (to get someone high as if they were on drugs). During a deep state of trance one can experience feelings that they are not used to experiencing during their waking hours, and have those feelings heightened. You will indeed feel more connected to parts of yourself that are dormant most the time. And this is where the therapy can take place. Once we help the conscious part of yourself "go to the side", we can then let the real you do the healing and work on the things that bother you. Hypnosis for therapeutic purposes, especially for anxiety (in my experience) can work really well. The issue is not so much making it work, the issue is letting it work. The "make it work", yes, this one is up to me, and I surely can do it. However, the "let it work", this part is with the client. And, believe it or not, most clients, although they come to a hypnosis session with a problem and expect to find a solution to this problem, they don't know what exactly they want. So when I ask, "what do you want for you?" the client will usually tell me things such as "I don't want to be anxious anymore". Well, I know that much already. But what do you really want? And this is the hard part: to focus on what we want, instead of focusing on the things we don't want. My daughter woke up crying everyday and it just went on and on, and I kept telling her I didn't want her to cry anymore, and of course it had no effect on her. But when I started telling her what I would love to happen instead of crying every morning, then she understood what she could do instead, and... BOOM.... the mornings are filled with a totally different feel now. And we do the same in life. Don't we? So I Know you don't want to have anxiety anymore, but maybe think what do you want instead of that? This is not me helping you. This is you and I working together. As I say to my clients "we are a team, so lets win this game, shall we"! Yes, hypnosis does work. The power of you!
