Just like this example by the amazing @michelle_janeen! ... I would love to have more variety of trees around where I live to be able forrage and create more foliage displays in our home. Do you have an array of flowers and foliage near your home to foreage? What varieties are your favourite? What have you found makes a beautiful display? Posted @withregram @michelle_janeen Natural + Neutral with a pop of Mother Nature, always. Foraging is one of my favorite past times and there's nothing quite like the hunt for the perfect branch with good lines. They're my favorite way to make a statement in any room! 17.01.2022 FLOWERS, FOLIAGE & NATURAL TONES & TEXTURES Posted @withregram @michelle_janeen I feel like I may be over-gramming this room right now (sorry!), but it's my favorite space to hang this time of year. The afternoon light pouring in and the breeze blowing through is just sooo good. It fills the room with warmth, and the calm, neutral palette with elements from nature is just what my senses crave at the end of the day. A place to exhale the day away. I also just added the most beautiful Turkish cotton striped pillows from @jennikayne and WOW, they are a dream! They feel like the perfect addition to our home. #interiors #foliageinvases #linen -#decor #cushions #interiorstyling

14.01.2022 WHEN YOUR HOME LIBRARY GETS AN LOW TOX/ECO UPDATE "Imperfectly striving to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle" I couldn't have said it any better TAYLOR M @thenativehippie you are an inspiration! ... As many of you know, my design style is light and airy, simplicity, functionality, natural materials, & bringing the outside. Creating calm tranquil spaces for wellness and relaxation is part of what I love to doIt lights me up, just love it! Over the past year or so I've become more and more called to delve deeper into the area of wellness in the home and lifestyle. Biophilic Design, sustainability and low tox living is very much aligned with my passion including my second business stream I started last year. I have been so inspired watching @thenativehippie sustainability journey, that its prompted me to do more and get started! I am also loving Alexx Stuart’s book called Low TOX Life, The Natural Home by Wendy’s Nissen and Quitting Plastic by Clara Williams Roldan with Louise Adams. Our family has been doing our bit in small ways and I've loved how Taylor has been so raw and real about starting her journey. Showing that it's okay not to be perfect you just need to start and grow from there! Pictured here are the books to get me started on this the journey. I'm really looking forward to start. I'm not perfect and am not keen to put that pressure on myself to do so, I am just happy to start. Look forward to sharing my journey with you. Have you been inspired to start create a more low tox lifestyle? Any tips that you've also found great in starting? Would love to hear about it. #lowtoxhome #wellnesshome #biophilicdesign #wellnessdesign #interiorstyling #interiors #wellnessstyling

13.01.2022 B E D R O O M D E T A I L S .. It’s so wonderful how simple elements like light, colour and texture can evoke feelings of calm, serenity and cosiness. - How? A combination of crisp white muted tones, creating layers for depth and cosiness along with soft and organic textures.... Here I’ve created textural layers using a natural linen throw , several cushions including a fringed accent cushion. These along with other textural elements like filtered light, greenery and timber tones really helps to bring a sense of depth, visual interest, and life to the room. Eas ways to create your own bedroom sanctuary. - Walls @duluxaus Vivid White Is it time for a bedroom makeover for Winter? What are you loving right now? Enjoy your day

11.01.2022 HOW TO LOW TOX YOUR BEDROOM I'm just loving the value I'm receiving from Alexx Stuart's 'Low Tox Life' book that I purchased recently. We spend so much time in our bedrooms that its worth thinking about ways to create the wellness sanctuary we deserve right?... What I love about Alexx Stuart's message is that low tox can be started with micro adjustments. Simply by getting started is a positive way to make an impact. Today I'd love to share with you some of Alexx’s tips for making LOX TOX considerations for your bedding & furniture if this is for you YOUR BED & MATTRESS * Consider a natural timber frame with natural stains & waxes over particleboard, fibreboard & lacquers. These can give off toxic fumes (i.e formaldehyde). * Some mattress manufacters put flame-retardent, stain-resistent & other chemicals recognised as 'carcinogens' on them. These can release chemicals into the air, including 'antibacterial' substances like triclosan. So, its a good idea to check with the manufacturer. * For new mattresses, consider natural latex or 100% natural materials. They are naturally non-allergenic, flame retardent antifungal & dust mite resistant. Wool is great at regulating temperature. If budget is tight, consider the next best option, wool or latex mattress toppers. SHEETS AND DUVETS (DOONAS) *Consider natural fibres, materials and natural dyes where possible. *If you like duck down, check if the product has 'traceable down' to prevent indirectly supporting animal cruelty. *Easy iron/anti-wrinkle sheets contain the chemical i.e formadlehyde *Consider organic certified cotton sheets Global organic textiles standard (GOTS), to ensure everything from growing, to farmers & workers are supported. PILLOWS AND QUILTS * Natural options are wool, latex & cruelty free feather down, buckwheat & hemp fibres. MATTRESS PROTECTORS for LITTLE ONES *Consider 'Brolly Sheets' or similar products where top layer is 100% cotton & cleans easily. Its a low tox option compared to plastic backed protectors for bed wetters. RECYCLING TIP: Consider recycling old pillows, sheets & towels to vets or pet shelters See more

06.01.2022 WHO DOESN’T LOVE A GREST BEFORE AND AFTER?! Check this kitchen makeover! Inspiration plus! I always love how a space can create transformed.... Posted @withregram @michelle_janeen Have you guys seen a before and after of our kitchen? Well for those of you who haven't, here it is!! __________ Sometimes when we're in the weeds we forget just how far we've come, and we fail to celebrate all of the wins along the way. So instead of focusing on the things I still want to accomplish, I'm choosing to celebrate just how much we HAVE done. We haven't done things in record time. We do a little bit at a time, and that's okay! This platform can be filled with so much amazing inspiration but it can also feel like a pressure cooker at times. Seeing beautiful homes built from the ground up and fully decorated before move in. I mean, amazing right?! Reality for most? Nope. So let's honor our journeys. Whatever they might look like. There's something wonderful about finding the joy in the journey and not just the destination. So let's just enjoy the unfinished and betweens and know they're perfectly okay and more than good enough! See more

05.01.2022 DON’T TELL ME THIS DOESN’T BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE AND BUTTERFLIES TO YOUR STOMACH!! (in a good way of course)! How fun would it be to re-imagine a new living room makeover or totally revamp?! Visualise it...... What mood does it have? Is it light and airy or dark and moody? Do the colours and tones blend together or is their contrast of dark and light tones and colours? What furniture do you see? Is it Modern or classic looking? Does it have a Coastal, Hamptons, or Scandinavian look and feel? Maybe it has an Industrial or Modern Farmhouse feel? Do you see a favourite rug or cushions there? Is it formal or relaxed? What scents, flowers or foliage can you see there? Does your reimagined living room have a favourite pendant light, piece of artwork or throw? Who is living in the space? Adults, children, pets? Is your reimagined living room being used for other things, like a study nook for example? How fun is it to reimagine a new or updated living room? Now if I asked you to find pictures of those things either from magazines, Pinterest or Instagram would you be able to do it? Of course you could . This is one of the first steps you can do when it comes to getting a better understanding for a living room design concept whether for yourself or to discuss with an interior stylist/designer/colour consultant. If you won the opportunity for a living room makeover, what would it look like? See more

04.01.2022 S T U N N I N G example of a cohesive look and colour scheme that flows right from the outside in. Check out this beautiful home via @thebrickieswife. - If you are building a new home or undertaking a complete renovation, a great tip to remember is that your exterior colour palette generally sets the tone for the interior palette and style to achieve a cohesive and flowing look and feel. - Colour distribution in each space doesn’t have to be an exact replica of the outside, ...but incorporating a the same palette in similar tones and shades brings it all together. Loving the look of brick, concrete and contrasting tones. 02.01.2022 Being an Interior Stylist, creating time freedom and helping others is my passion..and bedroom styling is my absolute favourite space to style I love creating spaces that evoke a sense of calm, serenity and cosiness. A place to unwind, promote wellness and rejuvenate the soul. SO, WHAT IS YOUR PASSION, what lights you up? ... My design style usually features 3-4 colours, mostly muted with similar tonal value. I incorporate natural and smooth textures in soft furnishings and bed linen like cotton, linen and wool which helps to achieve a more minimal look and feel. Greys, whites, blush and Ivey blues are my favourite to work with as it helps to make it light and airy. Add to that a crisp white background, some natural textures like timber and foliage or flowers and you have your own little haven. You will see that I pare back on furnishings and accessories to achieve the minimal look, often using books, vases, and candles as my ‘go-to’ pieces for bedsides. A chunky woollen throw or accent cushion is a great to add some more little depth, interest and intimacy to the room. I enjoyed sharing my passion with you today, WHAT IS YOUR PASSION? Have a great day! See more
