25.01.2022 This week we'll be covering goings on in the coin world, how to use SAFLIPs, and English bank dollars.

22.01.2022 Today we'll be talking lamination / planchet flaws, a new error discovery, and (as always) new RAM releases.

22.01.2022 Gotta love it when the postie comes

21.01.2022 A bit frustrated today, remember when it comes to values SOLD PRICES are what matters, not ASKING PRICES. The coin in this eBay listing IS NOT WORTH $5,500!! It's worth $1 at most.https://www.ebay.com.au/i/233735726812

21.01.2022 Not the star notes we want, but the star notes we can afford USA 1969 Federal Reserve $20 star note, USA 1981 $50 star note

18.01.2022 1804 Bank of England dollar. Overstruck on host coin (probably Spanish colonial 8 reales). My first

16.01.2022 No, we know it's not a coin or a banknote a medal. But it's too interesting not to share. Souvenir flag from the official opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on March 19, 1932! Measures approx 160 x 270mm.

16.01.2022 The lockdown in SA is ending at midnight tomorrow. However given speed at which things are changing we're going to wait until tomorrow to make a decision on re-opening our website/eBay stores. Hopefully this time tomorrow we'll be back online and our shop in Mawson Lakes will be open on Wednesday! Thanks for your patience and understanding!

14.01.2022 Another interesting piece of history, Great Britain 1703 Half Crown with VIGO below the portrait of Queen Anne. This commemorates the capture of silver and gold by the British from a Franco-Spanish fleet in 1702 at Vigo Bay in Spain.

12.01.2022 A couple of huge 1887 Adelaide International Exhibition bronze prize medals. Fifty cent piece for scale

09.01.2022 I thought we were coin shop purchase 1. A lovely little pair of silver and blue enamel cufflinks by J Aitkin & Son of Birmingham. Date to 1918. I wonder if these were purchased by a soldier as a souvenir when on leave in England or after the end of WW1?

06.01.2022 At about 12pm Adelaide time today we'll have our regular weekly coin news segment. Today we'll be talking lamination / planchet flaws, a new error discovery, and (as always) new RAM releases. Make sure to join in live on Facebook today.

05.01.2022 It looks like SA authorities are on top of the COVID cluster in Adelaide so we're back! Shop will be open on Wednesday at 10am, website is accepting orders again, eBay is online, and shipping of orders will resume on Monday.

05.01.2022 I thought you were coin shop purchase 2. Enolin Dentifrice toothpaste tin. Probably dates to the 1930's. Do you have any old tins you'd like to share with us?

05.01.2022 A nice group of hard to find South Australian themed medals and medallions. The Pro Hart designed Jubilee medal is especially attractive.

04.01.2022 A lovely bit of history, Great Britain 1746 Half Crown with LIMA below portrait. This remembers the capture of 1.3 million Spanish Colonial 8 reales and 35,000 ounces of silver by a British ship from a Spanish cargo vessel in 1743. That's more than 36 tonnes of silver! Lima is the capital of Peru where most of the 8 reales captured were minted.

03.01.2022 I've missed my camera. Various hammered coins of England, Scotland, and Ireland and a couple of bonus Indian rupees :)

01.01.2022 Time for our weekly video. This week we'll be covering goings on in the coin world, how to use SAFLIPs, and English bank dollars.
