25.01.2022 There was movement at the Station...All we need is Covid to go away! Some major announcements soon as well. Stay tuned!

24.01.2022 For those who are keeping an eye on copyright.

24.01.2022 "YO! WAY TO GO!"....For those who are in Ad Land or have been, Sylvia Bannah (yes Max's better half) has written, a few years ago, a great Thesis on the Brisbane scene and in particular Grev's involvement. It is a good read. You will find it here. It is called "They're just ads" https://espace.library.uq.edu.au/view/UQ:388445 Then click on the PDF for a download.

23.01.2022 Thank you Peter.

22.01.2022 This might be of interest for many...

22.01.2022 ONE-ON-ONE darkroom processing workshop dates still available before the end of the year. We comply with COVID-19 regulations. https://www.maud-creative.com/elementor-5993/

22.01.2022 An update on the Pardey collection. Went to Pittsworth and found 36 more plates in the good hands of Gail the local curator at the Pittsworth Historical association. Also got reunited with some plates that Richard Stringer had borrowed. But we are still on the path for more. We think that we know where they are and some country diplomacy has been entered into!...The amount in question is a matter for debate. It goes from a few boxes to over a cubic meter...If the latter is true we will need a lot more than a few volunteers to digitise them...

17.01.2022 Interesting folio to reflect on...Well worth a look.

17.01.2022 Could not resist this one from the page of film shooters (Thanks). The story behind it is a business called Darkbox camera in Berlin. Instant photography the analogue way! Paper neg processed inside the camera. It would take some skills to say the least.

16.01.2022 Yes, another legendary print about to be framed. Incredible Richard Bennetts print of 1998 Sydney- Hobart race. Photograph of the SECRET MENS BUSINESS yacht in the height of the wind gusts of 90 knots.

16.01.2022 I was a devotee! They are back in business.https://www.dpreview.com//historic-chemicals-producer-tete

16.01.2022 Great colours. The Lumière's Autochromes had a different RGB. It was orange, green and violet, hence this rusty red. The colours was supported by potato starch varnished unto a Gelatin silver layer.

14.01.2022 Now that’s a camera. Digital back and a bellows thing in between camera body and lense. Allows it to be used like a view camera. Saw it yesterday at Queensland Centre for Photography, Maude Gallery.

13.01.2022 Another legend...

13.01.2022 Anyone out there?

12.01.2022 The deadline is September 30th, so you will need to get on your bike...

10.01.2022 Simply a wonderful image by Paul Almasy.

08.01.2022 Great colours. The Lumires Autochromes had a different RGB. It was orange, green and violet, hence this rusty red. The colours was supported by potato starch varnished unto a Gelatin silver layer.

01.01.2022 Very busy buzzing day at the centre yesterday. We printed in the darkroom, digital printer was humming, film screening, many people visiting Harry Frith exhibition Vanishing Point at The Maud Street Photo Gallery space, including visitors from far (Wayne Gillis, John Elliott), good to see many familiar faces and meeting new visitors (Sue Gordon), people dropping off Their prints for our next exhibition, our retail shop was busy, we played with a pretty special awesome camera gear, we made coffees and some visitors enjoyed a browse through our library. I am looking forward to today at The Centre again. Open from 11-4.
