23.01.2022 We are busy getting everything set up ready to welcome you back tomorrow! We are complying with all the regulations regarding Covid-19 to keep you and our staff safe. When you enter the hotel you will see a table with sanitiser, covid-19 venue information and importantly a sign-in sheet, asking for your name and contact details. This is a condition of entry, and the information you provide is only held for 28 days and will only be used for the purposes of Covid-19 management.... Please also note that all patrons attending our licensed premises shall: Be refused entry if they display signs of illness Be requested to leave should they display signs of illness after entry Be seated whilst consuming liquor Adhere to social distancing as required including at entry and exit points or where markings are in place Comply with any request to relocate due to patron number restrictions in any area Comply with reasonable directions from staff Consider downloading the Covid-Safe App Adhere to a maximum number of ten persons per table Failure to comply with any or all of these conditions may constitute an offence under the Public Health Order and the licensee, their staff or agents reserve the right to remove from the premises any patron not adhering to these conditions under Section 77 of the Liquor Act 2007. Double Duck Smokehouse is continuing their pop-up restaurant in the beer garden and the same friendly staff are ready to greet you with a smile!

12.01.2022 Welcome back! On Tuesday 2 June at 10am our doors will re-open. Looking forward to seeing our fabulous community again. At this point we are limited to 50 patrons in the hotel, and we need to keep social distancing of 1.5m between people. In order to keep everyone safe we have increased our cleaning practices, we have hand sanitiser available upon entry, and little white crosses marked on tables to help you know where to sit. Help us help you! ... Thanks for your understanding and we can't wait to see you all again!

12.01.2022 With additional restrictions placed on all NSW Hotels, and NSW Health advising there will be ZERO TOLERANCE for non-compliance, we just want to re-confirm what we are doing at the hotel to help keep everyone safe: We have introduced a contactless Sign-In Register - easy instructions are at the hotel entrance We have a COVIDSafe Marshall on deck during our peak times We require everyone to be seated once served, and to keep their distance from others... Group sizes are now limited to a maximum of 10 We have implemented a regular cleaning schedule of all touch points in the hotel and have enough hand sanitiser and soap available to service the whole of Wallsend two times over! 08.01.2022 Lucky again to have Double Duck Smokehouse continuing their residency at the Racecourse! Their menu continues this week with the addition of a Southern Fried Mushroom Burger with mushroom puree, cheese, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion..... we can can vouch for it's deliciousness! Smokehouse Hours:... Thurs & Fri 1 - 7:30pm Sat & Sun 12 - 6.30pm .... and longer if need be! It's all PERFECT to enjoy in our open air beer garden.... Hope to see y'all soon!
