18.01.2022 Hi everyone! It's a bit late - but better late then never! Did you know this month it is "Let's ditch the plastic in July?". I know we do our best to recycle and assume that our carefully sorted and washed plastics make it through to become something else. Sadly it doesn't quite happen that way. Truth is that there are only some items that can be recycled. Originally our recycling went to China but due to poor recycling practice and lack of education and information, a lot o...f what arrived in China was unusable and was dumped. Now Australia is responsible for managing its recycling so we need to get super good at this. Especially as I know that so many of us are worried about plastic in the environment and its impact. Unfortunately, recycling isn't the final solution, the best way is to not use plastic at all. The UN.org reports: *As much as 80% of all litter in our oceans is made of plastic. * 8 million tonnes of plastic per year ends up in the ocean, wreaking havoc on wildlife, fisheries and tourism. * Plastic pollution costs the lives of 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals per year. * Fish eat plastic, and we eat fish. * As many as 51 trillion micro plastic particles - 500x more than the stars in our galaxy - litter our oceans and seas. This is so saddening but we can all do our part. A lot of people think that because they are one person, they can't make a difference but we CAN! It starts with one, then one more and soon a WHOLE lot of us are involved. So the "ONE" of us can make that difference - it has to start somewhere, let's be the start! And I'm proud as an Independent Norwex Consultant that Norwex are so committed to helping and healing our environment. 13.01.2022 Did you know it was World Emoji Day on Friday? (17th July) - I just found out, and was amazed such a day existed. But then, I thought about how much we use emojis to express ourselves in messages and how they really help in getting across the emotional context of our message. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to post an Emoji Quizz. It's not too hard and I hope you will have a crack at it! I'll post the answers next weekend so be sure to check in and see how you went!

04.01.2022 So, I found this the other day and all I can say is "OMG"! Who would think our humble bathroom towels could be so gross when we only use them once we have 'cleaned' ourselves. Check it out!! 02.01.2022 Norwex have just released some awesome new products - see pic below. I LOVE the new glass spray bottles and glass foaming soap dispenser! And I can’t wait for the new toothpaste with whitening properties and probiotic mouthwash - due out in October. I’m going to pop up a wee video with some of these items in the next few days so stay tuned to see them in action. Message me if you want to check these new items out.

Thousands of people and their families benefit from organ and tissue donations each year. The impact of this on the beneficiaries cannot be expressed adequately. It is definitely worth a look at the website to learn more about what is involved and how a huge loss of a loved one can lead to a huge "second chance" for another person.

01.01.2022 So I found out the 7th July is apparently World Chocolate Day! This started me thinking about chocolate - which, if I'm honest, I think about EVERY day haha - but I was trying to decide on my favourite chocolate and while I can sometimes change my mind, lately my favourite would have to be Cadbury's Turkish Delight. Early this year, when home in NZ, I discovered Jellytip chocolate - OMG - LOVE LOVE LOVE this one - brought 5 chocolate blocks of this to share with the family but - and no surprises here - I may have accidentally eaten them all - shhhhhhhh!
