25.01.2022 "Some people want a confident horse yet are nervous in the saddle, An athletic one, yet, fail to visit a gym themselves, A well rounded one, yet won't take a le...sson, A "dead broke" one, yet ride only on the weekends, A soft round horse, yet sit rigid in the saddle, A forgiving, trusting horse, but punish first, and ask questions later. Imagine if we were all the types of riders our horses wanted us to be. If we were all confident, athletic, well rounded, soft, patient and consistent riders? It's a journey. A dance between two species. Have conversations, not fights. Check in with them, give them credit, give them dignity, give them time, and above all else, give them love. It's not so much about learning to speak their language, it's about quieting down and learning to listen." ~ Sarah Kuz (No Boundaries Horsemanship) #wadifarmlife #bekind photo (c) KAW ~ Song Shadow
24.01.2022 Its a big day in the office for this little Angel
24.01.2022 Its amazing how after only a few short moments in the round pen with a horse someones outlook can change entirely it becomes an instant reconnection with the moment & all else outside the pen is forgotten.
24.01.2022 In this busy world of multitasking, who else could use a subtle reminder from time to time
23.01.2022 New recruit Angel, soon to join Teddy in therapy dog training #therapydog #pawpartners #jackrussellterrier
23.01.2022 I am a lesson horse. I am a horse that isn’t as recognized as the top hunter jumpers, the best western pleasure horse, or the 1D barrel horse, I am a lesson ho...rse. I am the backbone of the foundation to do all of those things. I am a lesson horse. I am not loved by one person. I am loved by several people. I don’t have my person, I have my people. I am a lesson horse. I will teach your child and yourself more than just to ride. I will bring your child out of their shell. I will teach your child about life. I will be yours and their shoulder to cry on. I am a lesson horse. I will bring my family the joy of teaching kids. I will bring my families business growth. I am so loved by my family, even if they don’t express it everyday. My family allows others to show me love and enjoy me. I am a lesson horse. At the end of your childs’ journey on a lesson horse, they will out grow me. They will find one that jumps higher, a horse that is show quality, a horse much faster than me. But, I will never outgrow being a lesson horse. I will be the one that loved your child and helped your child grow into the rider and person they are. I am a lesson horse. At the end of my time as a lesson horse; I will be covered in grey hair. Each grey hair came from each hour I spent as a lesson horse. I will be in a field of green grass, I will be taken care of as I was when I was a lesson horse. I will watch your child from across the pasture love her new horse. But, I will love your child more than any horse can. I will be the backbone of the business, the family, and your child. Don’t forget about me, I am a lesson horse. I am a lesson horse. *words stolen from a friend*
21.01.2022 Best wishes to all
21.01.2022 The truth is none of us really know how much someone else is hurting. You could be standing right beside someone who is completely broken and have no idea. Always be kind. #ruok2020

18.01.2022 The lovely old Cashmere being very patient after work on her way back to the paddock with double trouble leading the way
17.01.2022 Before backing your youngster please read - A horse ages roughly 3 times faster than a human. So a 90 year old human is a 30 year old horse. Both very old, usu...ally arthritic, dont have many of their original teeth left, and very likely retired and enjoying the finer things in life. A 25 year old horse is a 75 year old human. Still works so far. A 20 year old horse is a 60 year old human. At that point where the body doesnt work like it use to but the brain is all there and wants to be active. A 13 year old horse is a 39 year old human. Middle aged, prime of their life where their knowledge and physical ability are about equal. So lets get down to the babies and work our way up. A 3 year old horse is a 9 year old child. A child. Not ready for work by a long stretch. We have moved past sending children down the mines. A 4 year old horse is a 12 year old child. Often will do odd jobs for pocket money, maybe a paper round, mowing lawns etc. Basically a 4 yo horse can start a bit of light work to earn their keep. A 5 year old horse is a 15 year old teenager. Think they know it all, cocky, and ready to up their work and responsibilities. Still quite weak and not fully developed so shouldnt be at their physical limit but can start building strength. A 6 year old horse is an 18 year old human. An adult. Ready to work hard. Pushing your youngster too hard too young will result in failure of many body parts. Joints, tendons, ligaments as well as their brains. Waiting one year at the beginning can give a horse another 10 years of useful working life. Be patient with your pride and joy! 16.01.2022 When I was a little tracker with my first pony my Uncle (whose stock saddle I still ride in today) said if your pony ever misbehaves you first ask yourself, what am I doing wrong before you start blaming him. Those words have stuck with me through life & contine to remind me I will never stop learning there is always a better way

10.01.2022 I was scared today. I was scared to get on, scared to walk out the yard because I had a bad ride the day before. One bad ride, and it made me scared. I didn’t... know why. I’ve had 1000 bad rides. I’ve had 1000 falls. I’ve broken bones and bruised my pride on countless occasions, but today I was scared. Why? Because confidence is fragile. It takes months and years to build and seconds to lose and yet we are so careless with it. When we get on a horse, we wear a hat to protect our head. We wear body protectors, gloves, boots... We pay so much attention to protecting ourselves physically, we forget that our minds are not invincible, and our confidence certainly is not. Your bank of confidence needs regular deposits, not just from others... but from you. Self confidence is the most valuable currency in life. When you go to get on, and you hesitate, you falter and you start to ask yourself can I do this?, chances are, your account is almost empty. Every time you laugh and say oh no, I’m no good or so and so is 10x better than me, you make a withdrawal from that account, and before you know it, your account is empty and you’re scared to get on. But every time you say I’m really pleased with how that went or I think I rode that really well, your balance increases. We need to learn to give ourselves a break, pat ourselves on the back and allow ourselves to feel proud of where we are - after all, most of the time we’ve worked bloody hard to get there! Recognising your strengths is just as important as recognising your weaknesses. Never allow yourself or anyone else to empty that account. Confidence is valuable, don’t bankrupt yourself.
10.01.2022 Thank you so much to everyone who supported us in 2020. It certainly has been a year like no other. I truly hope you all get a chance to spend time with loved ones over the Festive Season and we look forward to getting back to business as usual from Monday 18th January 2021.

05.01.2022 Life is a struggle. Struggle without purpose is meaningless. However struggle with purpose brings meaning to life. Sometimes our greatest test is to identify wh...ich challenge is worth the struggle. The scars on this armour tell the story of many battles both won and lost. The crescent moon symbolises the love of a father toward his two sons. The determination to carry on after each hit from a lance is to teach them in time, that no matter how hard life hits you with challenges, you have the choice to get back up stronger than before.

04.01.2022 It certainly is lovely coming home to these inquisitive little beasties Beaconsfield Razzmatazz & Beaconsfield Rosie
04.01.2022 Animals see beyond words & trust their instincts to identify what is within. Over the years I have met a lot of people that do not live up to the image they try to portray which I believe has taught me to read the signs quicker & see through the disguise. Although we are taught not to judge others & for the most part I do agree however I also now acknowledge that our ability to judge a situation and/or those around us is within our nature and helps to keep up safe from harm.

03.01.2022 - Quand mon instructeur me répète:Redresse tes épaules et ouvre ta poitrine !"
