25.01.2022 PENCILS DOWN ~ Would you believe you DONT need pencils to create clean brow lines? O.k O.k ~ pencils do + can create clean lines BUT they are not the key ingredient ... A cheeky concealer, paired with a flat or defined round tip brush can do the work for you + showcase all the grind youve put in to growing out your natural brows Simply take a concealer pencil {ensure lighter then your skin tone to POP those brows} with a few swipes off the tip using your flat or round tip brush + just under the very bottom row of hair in the under brow.... swipe back + forward along the line of the brow to the arch, then continue from arch to tail of brow! Be delicate with sweeps for crisp definition + dont stress if the concealer smears, as can be blended below + redefined with sharper sweeps to correct or lightly pat dab with finger Less is more with the use of the concealer + the lighter the tone of your concealer product against the natural depth of colour to the brows can create an illusion of filled colouring behind the brows ~ with no pencil in sight Exhibit A ~ Trim | Wax | Tweeze + Style ~ no pencil or tint needed! Constantly feeling like Im going to have to do full head foil set after full head foil set... bleach bleach bleach + $$$ ... YES you can have a shower but don’t wet your face {especially your lashes} and any showers the same day as your application keep cooler then your usual hot hot steamy one ... Wear Goggles Sounds crazy but the committed AF lash lifers wear goggles in the shower to protect their lashes for the first 24hrs so they can do all their usual showering Avoid coffee prior to your appointment. Makes the eyes flicker, which can bring on the waterworks! Get out of jail free card ~ No exercise that induces heat for 24hrs. Oh it’s ok, it’s just weights.. I’m not sweating ~ Negative on the o.k While sweat is not fab for the lashes it’s actually inducing body heat that can mess with how the adhesive sets + forms the strongest bond! 03.01.2022 RESTRICTION UPDATE || . There is light at the end of the tunnel beauties . Our state leader has made announcements today with updates on W.As roadmap to easing restrictions! ... . Although it wasnt the best news for beauty services (and my personal feelings on this Im trying reallll hard to stay chill about ) we now have a roundabout time frame as to when LASHES || BROWS will be back in action @therarastudio . Beauty Services fall in Phase 3 of easing restrictions, so we can expect to be back lushing lashes + styling up brows around 4weeks from May 18th MID-June . While this seems forever away.. and some of us just cant take this lashless overgrown brow life any longer... weve come this far, so whats another 5weeks . YEP, thats right - we gotta look at the beauty glass half full vs empty, so for the next 5week countdown lets do the following... .
