21.01.2022 A little note: this is a post about my thoughts tonight. I dont mean to make light of, or take away from the horrific impact on peoples lives at the moment. These are unprecedented times. And this is how Im feeling about them right now. Coronavirus has this way of making us focus constantly on what we cant do. What we wish we could do. What were waiting to do. When can we do it?? Its probably just the mood Im in, and tomorrow I might have a very different view of the ...world. But tonight, as my family are fast asleep, house is tidy(ish), dishwasher humming - I am thankful for the Coronavirus. Not for its devastation. Not for its economic destruction. Not for the death and sadness it has brought to so many. Tonight I am thankful for the love. For the past 8 weeks, I have spent all day, every day with my little family. Im not missing new words, new laughs, new milestones usually reserved for strangers at childcare. My head is no longer full of exaggerated expectations and 2 year plans, Ive taken a moment to sit back and hit pause. Not stop, just pause. There have been no runny noses, ear infections, temperatures of unknown origin. My little family is safe, as if we are wrapped up in our own little Coronavirus bubble. So yes while I say fuck you Coronavirus, I also say thank you. For bringing our spinning planet to a standstill for a moment, and giving us the gift of time x

01.01.2022 SURGERY IS BOOKED IN! Im so excited, Ive been waiting for surgery to remove my endometriosis for months now, but with the pandemic its been on hold (being an elective surgery go figure). Im so looking forward to having it fixed because its incredibly painful. Some days I swell up like a balloon and look 6 months pregnant! Thank god for working from home and stretchy leggings!! Hopefully afterwards we will finally be able to add to our little family They dont tell you ...in the movies just how hard it can all be. Its a roller coaster of emotions that I will share with you all one day. A lot goes on behind the scenes, and everyone deals with things differently. Hopefully Ill be able to help someone by sharing my journey.
