21.01.2022 Join us this Friday for Carols under the Christmas Tree and witness the annual lighting of the half a kilometer of lights that adorn the largest Christmas Tree in the southern hemisphere. All children who come to the event will receive a ticket to go into the draw to be the lucky child who flicks the switch to light up our tree for 2019. Our cafe will be open for beverages and food purchases.... Don't forget your picnic blanket or camp chair.

We understand that mother nature is not being very kind to us and that some students will be unable to perform due to the smoke.... We will look at bringing the lighting of the tree forward and amend our plan to suit the night as it progresses. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing everyone tonight.

Under Covid-19 legislation, we will be enforcing social distancing and ask that contactless transactions occur where possible. Dining is only permitted for up to 10 patrons at a time under current legislation

12.01.2022 There is a lot of movement at The Rectory today. Hopper the Tree Lopper is removing the top of the second Norfolk Pine Tree to hopefully save it from the disease that has been slowly killing it.

Starting at 6pm, we have many local Schools performing, jumping castle, local church choirs and of course Santa Claus with MarkeeP. Our cafe will be open to ensure no-one is hungry. All children at the event will receive a ticket for their chance to be the lucky person who flicks the switch to illuminate the half a kilometer of lights adorning the largest Christmas tree in the Southern Hemisphere.

09.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who braved the smoke on Friday afternoon and joined us for the annual lighting of the largest Christmas tree in the southern hemisphere. Our Vice Chairman Brett Gleeson opened the event followed by Cr Giacomo Arnott - Port Stephens Councillor. Father Steve gave a blessing and the students from our local PBL schools blew us away with their talent performing Christmas Carols for all to sing along to. The St John The Evangelist Anglican Church, Raymond Terr...ace choir finished the night off with some of our favourite carols. Young Mattilda Cox from Irrawang Public School was the lucky person drawn to light up the Christmas tree for 2019. Special thanks to Marketplace Raymond Terrace as well as Hopper the Tree Lopper and Port Stephens Council as without these business, the tradition of our tree couldnt continue.
