15.01.2022 Interest rate update: Big banks have taken action almost immediately after yesterdays RBA rate cut announcement. Westpac dropped its standard variable mortgage rate by 28 basis points to 5.98% NAB down 25 basis points to 5.88% CBA down 25 basis points to 5.90%... St George and ING Direct have also dropped their rates by 25 basis points, as have Bank of Queensland, ME Bank and other non-major lenders. The major banks home loan rates are now at the lowest they have been since October 2009.
