25.01.2022 Mishka, my receptionist at the jetty this morning... she loves her morning walk before a hard day at the office..

24.01.2022 The study outlined below will also consider the effects Covid 19 has had on stress, anxiety and depression. On completion, participants will receive a free Gift Voucher for a friend or relative.

24.01.2022 Pain and arthritis creams from Indonesia. All proceeds for prosthetics in Laos and the Apopo Hero Rats which detect unexploded mines in Cambodia. Cash preferred in the donations box, suggested donation $10 but entirely up to you. Good value and you are also giving someone a hand (or a leg!) up. When land is freed from mines, it can be used for agriculture again. I have raised and donated over $10,700 so far. Not as much as I had hoped, but better than nothing! Laos has 80...,000,000 unexploded bombs dropped by the USA and prosthetics are needed as a result of inevitable accidental detonations. I would love one day to be able to donate a 3 D printer for creating colourful as well as functional prosthetics. http://copelaos.org/ https://www.apopo.org//detecting-la/where-we-work/cambodia In 2016 we visited a mine field near Siem Reap (think Angkor Wat) in Cambodia and dropped off $2,000 in person, so no money was wasted in admin fees, money delivered right to where it was needed. In 2018 we made donations in person in Vientiane (capital of Laos) of $400 each to Cope Laos and MagInternational.

24.01.2022 300 new clients so far in 2020. Thx for the referrals, recommendations and reviews.

24.01.2022 Don't forget to use your Health Fund credits for Remedial Massage by Dec 31st

23.01.2022 Mention May 4th offer today only for your free coffee at Jaffelatos...which in turn gets you $10 off your next appointment.. 0000 Zero new cases for four days is great news.

23.01.2022 Not many clients notice this gong from Cambodia at the entrance to my clinic, but it is loud and sure gets my attention! More people should try it! I know, I have finally discovered my phone has a camera and suddenly I am making up for lost time, using it to take photos of beached boats and rainbows. Now for my clinic, and some of the original artwork which people don't always get time to appreciate during their appointments.

23.01.2022 So proud of our son..

22.01.2022 Missing your cheap, relaxing Bali massages? Look no further! Im bringing Bali to you and saving you airfares and accommodation and a 4 hour flight!

22.01.2022 It is always nice to receive a review (on my Google page) Stop looking, Arthurs your man! Extremely professional, his only focus is to get you moving, all for a very reasonable rate! Highly recommend a visit. Here is my response:... Thank you, Annette, for taking the time to leave such kind words! My fee of $60 per hour is designed to be affordable so that my services are accessible to as wide a range of the community as possible, in a world of unemployment and massive underemployment with many workers part time or casual in low paying jobs in retail, hospitality, cleaners, carers and security guards. Many underemployed people are not on a living wage. Before the GFC, my fee was $70. I reduced it to $60 immediately after the GFC. The result has been that nearly 5,300 people have used my services. After 10 years of inflation of rates, electricity and everything else, my income has slowly but steadily been eroded, (as it has for many other people), and as a result I will need to reassess my prices when I see what Josh Frydenberg does in his budget. Until then I am not about to rock the boat. In the next budget I am concerned about an increase in the GST to pay the COVID 19 debt. Chiropractors and Physiotherapists do not have to pay GST, so it is hardly a level playing field for Remedial Massage Therapists, which will be exacerbated if the GST is increased. I have previously, albeit unsuccessfully, organized petitions to the treasurer to remove GST from Remedial Massage and other body work, and also to increase the GST threshold from $75,000 as this has not been changed since 2007. I am going to write to Josh Frydenberg again to express my concerns. I am passionate and compassionate about the ache, pain, headache and stress relief. For me, it has been a bit of a Marxist journey, "From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs". I would not like to exploit people in pain by charging the earth. I like people to be pain free with a reasonable fee. Whilst many people say it was not the price which attracted them to choose me, it goes a long way to generating goodwill. That is why I receive so many new clients through direct word of mouth referrals, recommendation on FB chat pages and reviews on Google and FB.

22.01.2022 This will put a smile on your dial! Talk about singing for your supper!

21.01.2022 I am taking the handbrake off. (I was strictly limiting the number of clients a day). It took a while before all states realised that Remedial Massage is an essential service, but today we have that confirmation. People don't choose to wake up with sciatic pain, for example, and want it treated NOW! Still a few free coffees available for Jaffelatos, all you have to do is mention the promo at your next visit...

21.01.2022 The van is back in its old spot for a limited time only...

21.01.2022 Chapter 4 of my COVID-19 diary as this pandemic evolves. Its target audience is people looking back in years to come. It contains predictions, most of which are coming true. April 14th I think WA is doing way better than other states, although that can change. I believe that some people will be going back to work much sooner than had been anticipated. Some people might be returning to work before they get the welfare cheques such as the Job Keeper Allowance! So when they d...Continue reading

20.01.2022 This is an outstanding result considering lockdown and quiet periods before and after! I believe it means the benefits of Remedial Massage are more widely known than ever before, and more and more people are trying it for the first time. My target this year was simply to match the 370 new clients I endeavoured to help last year. With 350 new clients already, I may be able to reach 400 by Christmas.

20.01.2022 Globally the mortality rate from C19 has been falling quite considerably. I put this down to the end of northern winter, more sunlight, improved Vitamin D levels and improved immune systems. As we head into winter, I am getting as much sun as I can...... https://www.marketwatch.com//new-study-claims-vitamin-d-de

19.01.2022 Getting complacent about Covid 19 because we are living normally in WA? This is Chapter 7 of the Covid 19 diary I started during lockdown. Sobering reading about what is happening in the rest of the world. September 16th, 2020 USA crosses 200,000 deaths. So much for Donald Trump's forecast maximum of 60,000....Continue reading

15.01.2022 Good boost for the Hero Rats in Cambodia on the ABC news today. I have sent this charity $3,250 to date. Magawa, a giant African pouched rat, was awarded the PDSA’s Gold Medal for his "lifesaving bravery and devotion after discovering 39 landmines and 28 items of unexploded ordinance in the past seven years, according to the charity. I don't push it, but there is a donations bucket in my clinic and some posters on the wall of the Apopo Hero Rats and the Prosthetics clinic I support in Laos (to which I have now sent $5,000) https://abcnews.go.com//giant-rat-wins-animal-hero-award-s

15.01.2022 Have you signed the petition? Victoria has had more new cases, 723 and more deaths, 13, in one day than WA has had IN TOTAL. Let's keep WA safe! https://www.change.org/p/scott-morrison-and-clive-palmer-su

14.01.2022 Hi! My name is Arthur Galletly. I spent years in pain seeking a solution, which I finally found in Remedial Massage, and took a bold choice to make a late career change. Since 2004 my goal has been to offer cost-effective ache, pain, & headache relief and to correct people's posture. I reached 5,000 clients in my Rockingham clinic in July 2019. Here are my prices right up front where you would expect them to be... Remedial Massage:...Continue reading

13.01.2022 Here are some recent reviews left regarding my services on Whitecoat. Not that anyone can see me on Whitecoat. My profile still exists but is not displayed, because I declined to pay to advertise with them. Not exactly ethical! Whitecoat is owned by three health funds, and was initiated by NIB in 2013. BUPA and HBF bought in in 2016. Clients in those health funds are prompted to enter anonymous reviews whenever they use providers registered with Whitecoat. So Whitecoat no...Continue reading

13.01.2022 I posted this on two FB groups. Over 500 likes already so I thought I would put it here for your amusement as well: "The dragon should stay. Come on Council, buy it and leave it there!" Trogdor says "Should I stay or should I go?" (Song by The Clash) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHiFyJwW3Ck

13.01.2022 From my "pub test", it seems you agree with the Cambridge Dictionary in your understanding of the word "Specialist". Certified Specialist is VERY misleading advertising.

10.01.2022 Superior semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome. Sounds dreadful and it is. Solution is surgery inside your ear and cranium. Symptoms: AUTOPHONY - hearing your heartbeat and pulse loudly, hearing yourself talk, breathe, eat and even blink, sometimes echoing OSCILLOPSIA - things appear to be moving when they are not VERTIGO TINNITUS constant ringing in your ears... INSOMNIA UNSTEADINESS Only described as recently as 1998. Still, I am sad that I have only just learned about this condition after seeing so many clients. If I had known about it years ago, I could have helped a couple of clients reach a diagnosis much sooner, and saved them a lot of runaround and suffering. It gives me the incentive to keep on practicing for a few years yet, because you never know when the treasure chest of experience comes in handy and can point people in the right direction for relief from their pain. 10.01.2022 I have lodged a complaint with ACCC regarding the name Certified Specialist, as I believe it is highly misleading for the public. In my next post, I will reveal what criteria you need to meet to become a Certified Specialist. I am sure you will get quite a surprise! However, first I would like to conduct a pub test to get some feedback on the questions below. Your time and help is greatly appreciated.

09.01.2022 My hair needed a trim before lockdown. During lockdown I decided to grow my hair long. Because I still can! After lockdown, my hair turned into a mullet. I have never had a mullet before. After lockdown my practice has been busier than in a normal winter. Coincidence? I'm calling it my Lucky Mullet! Never going to cut it off. Call me superstitious but I remember the story of Samson and Delilah!

06.01.2022 I'll be wearing my new washable n95 face mask with respirator all through the flu season every year from now on. Did you know there were over 300,000 cases of flu in Australia last year? And an average of around 1,000 flu related deaths each year?

05.01.2022 This was me massaging at the beach in 2004. I did this at weekends for many years. What kind is the big tree in the late RIP Joe Fairley's painting??

05.01.2022 For people living with Fibromyalgia. LDN, or low dose naltrexone may be the answer for some people. Someone who found this treatment worked a treat after a living hell for 7 years shared this: The LDN is prescribed in 50mg tablets by the GP. This is compounded to the right dose by your local compound chemist. The dosage starts very low and is increased every fortnight until the optimal level is reached. One must refrain from taking opioids and alcohol whilst taking LDN. LDN was a treatment developed by Dr Bihari in New York for normalizing the immune system for HIV/AIDS, treating drug and alcohol addiction. Seems to be working well for people with fibromyalgia too!

05.01.2022 It was extremely nice to receive this review today: "Well where do I start - AMAZING AND DESERVES ! I will never use another massage therapist again! He is really good. 01.01.2022 FAQ #1. How to treat hip bursitis. Many people go for the Cortisone Injection. Sometimes that does not help. OSMO patches have a 3.6 / 5 rating on productreview and are available from Terry White, Warnbro Pharmacy, Caring Pharmacy Malibu and Secret Harbour Pharmacy. Remedial Massage can help by lengthening and relaxing all the muscles surrounding the area (but not on the troubled bursa itself). This takes pressure off the inflamed and painful bursa and reduces some of the pain. Stretches and exercises can help. Here are some exercise tips: Dr Jo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPDZb5YPn4U https://www.everydayhealth.com/hi/ways-to-relieve-hip-pain/
