Back pain is a common finding among athletic horses. The most easily recognized sign of back pain in a horse is a negative reaction in response to pressure over his back. In some cases, simple daily activities like being curry combed cause pain, and the horse will flinch or lower his back away from the pressure, or h...is muscles will become more tense. The good news is that following diagnosis and treatment, the large majority of horses are able to happily return to work. If your furry friend is having these problems, contact us today and book in for a treatment on 0439 507 781 or inbox us today. #EquineTherapy #EquineTherapist #BestEquineTherapy #ToowoombaHorses #Dalby #Warrick #RedlandBay #PonyClub

24.01.2022 Its reviews like these that makes everything worth while and why I love my job Thanks Tanessha Ellis: Seriously this lady Theresa Rickuss is a magician, I can't recommend her highly enough!! West has had a rough year, with toxicity positioning, lameness and weight lost. He has really struggled with recovery, his coat was shit and he wasn't able to shed it completely. It's been scabby, flakey mixed with some sort of bacterial infection. Theresa has been working with him for ...two weeks and she's completely turned him around, his coast is healthy. He is no longer lame, and is so much healthier! Thanks so much mate, you're a champion. See less at Theresa Rickuss "Equine Therapist" See more

These larger release responses can be one or a combination of the following: licking and chewing, snorting or sneezing, shaking its head or body, or repeated yawning. 22.01.2022 The hindquarters are the powerhouse of your horse’s body. This is where the impulsion he needs to successfully complete the activities you ask of him begins. I see many horses being asked to complete tasks they are not physically prepared to do, leading to tension, restriction of movement, compensatory problems and injury. As riders, it is our privilege to work with such amazing animals and it’s our responsibility to keep them pain free, sound and healthy.... Book your furry BFF into today for an #EquineTreatment that will have him feeling his very best 0439 507 781 or inbox us today. #equissage #photonictherapy #Muscularre-alignment #softtissuetherapy #PressurePointAndNeuralRelease #RehabilitationHorses ##toowoombaregion

22.01.2022 Tightness in a horse's hind-end muscle can affect performance. Your horse’s gastrocnemius muscle (it has not only a big job, but a big name) plays a major role in how well he moves on the flat and how he jumps. Tightness in this hind-end muscle can lead to a significant loss of performance. Fortunately, once discovered, simple muscle tightness in the gastroc usually can be relieved using massage technique and with regular maintenance in between treatments can be fixed.... 19.01.2022 The wonderful world of #FasciaMassage Fascia is the connective tissue that runs throughout the horse's body. It is a sheath-like webbing that keeps all the tissues and bones supported, protected, and in their ideal place. Fascia needs to be flexible and elastic for horses to move their bodies properly and so their organs can function freely without being squashed. Due to poor posture, overwork, inadequate fitness, ill-fitting tack, plus the constant pull of gravity, fasci...a becomes stiff and ‘stuck’, restricting movement and causing pain, fatigue, and unsoundness. What are the benefits of #Myofascial Release: Reduction of inflammation Reduction of muscle and nerve pain Decreasing fascial tension Stretching and elongating tissues Increase of power, strength, and endurance Increase metabolic efficiency Increase biomechanical efficiency Inbox us today for more information #horsemassage #equinelife #equinetherapy#equinetherapist #bestequinetherapist #toowoomba #toowoombaregion #toowoombabusiness

15.01.2022 Stretches are great for a horses posture. The Pelivic push we we'll focus on the longissimus dorsi, which both extends the horse's back and flexes his spine laterally. How do you know if your horse has a sore back? It's much the same for your horse when his back muscles are stiff or hurting. He may... He/She might flinch or sink away when you're saddling him He may travel with his head elevated and/or his back hollowed Canter less freely than usual. Experience a decrease in coordinated power. Trail his hind end rather than stepping under himself. Jump flat rather than with a rounded bascule. Drift sideways, either on the flat or over jumps. Resist lateral work. If you think your horse could use some extra TCL call today on 0439 507 781 or inbox us today.

05.01.2022 Horses can feel pain, stress, anxiety, muscle fatigue and cardiovascular stress just like us. Horses are an intelligent animal and as riders we need to make sure we look after them, keep them fit and conditioned for the tasks they’re asked to do whilst giving them the variety to keep things interesting.
