24.01.2022 What a great reminder of what some people and children with Autism are living with every day. Sensory processing can be very overwhelming for children.

20.01.2022 As we move into uncharted waters with the way our children are schooled, it is important to remember that your children will remember all the fun times they had with you during this time. Try not to battle over little things, set achievable goals and tasks for home learning, praise good learning and attempts at work... even if they get it wrong... trying is still learning, and most importantly, have fun! Take some time to work on life skills, cooking, cleaning and organisation skills all have learning opportunities. Stay in touch with your child’s school and let them help you. Where possible build some structure into your day, to make learning achievable for all and let me know if I can support you in anyway, including the creation of home visuals like these, let me know!#wereallinthistogether #covid #visuals

14.01.2022 Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas Day.Thanks for all your support in 2018 in what was a busy year! Enjoy spending time with your children, family, friends and relatives. Belinda

13.01.2022 We’ve been using our fridge visuals for a week now and they work well. They are great with keeping the kids and I on task. Starting the day off with crossing off the calendar , finding the correct day and writing the day, date and weather . We also then finish tasks already completed and this then becomes our anchor of expected tasks for the day.

13.01.2022 Excited to be apart of this podcast for families

02.01.2022 A great tip before you begin any writing, cutting or school work with your kids is to let them warm up their fingers with some fine motor activities . We do things like; playdough, pegs, mini frog jumpers, water play games- we had races, monkey in barrel, or a game like trouble, pop up pirate, hungry hippos. I got most of the little stuff from Kmart - playdough we made yesterday. It’s not only fun, but a great way to start any ‘school work’ with your kids’.
