25.01.2022 CORRECTION - we are opening July, not August We are very excited to say that the Restore is Re-opening on Tuesday JULY 21st! 9am - 4:30pm weekdays & 9am-1pm saturdays. ... Foodbank by appt Tuesday and Thursday only To protect our staff, volunteers and our most vulnerable clients and customers, we will be following recommended Government guidelines. -8 customers at any time in the store -Temperatures will taken at the door and you will be asked standard COVID 19 health questions -Hand sanitiser must be applied at the door before entering -your name and phone number will be collected and kept for 1 month for contact tracing purposes - we will be unable to keep items on hold Unfortunately anyone unable to adhere to these procedures will not be admitted to the store. We look forward to seeing our faithful customers and friends of the Restore. The store is full of all new stock and were especially excited for you to see our makeover.

04.01.2022 Dear Friends (old and new) of the Restore- The Restore provides food relief and a place of support and comfort, solely through the earnings of our Opshop. We also pay our small team of staff this way. In more happy times, we do this easily. We receive no government funding or assistance from our denomination to serve our community. It costs only around $7.50 per household for us to provide 4 or 5 bags of everyday food items like bread, milk, sausages and cereal to our clients.... Most receive these parcels fortnightly and, if able, pay a small admin fee. We largely purchase these items from Foodbank NSW. We also pay our small team of staff this way. Asking for help requires transparency. As leaders its difficult to put into words the weight of responsibility we feel at this time to keep people fed and employed. Many of you have helped the Restore in numerous ways - Shopping with us, donating clothing and food, donating money and time. At this time we are struggling to meet those overheads. So we are asking that anyone who still has job security and/or the means would consider pledging a fortnightly direct debit amount for the next 3-6 months to keep our struggling clients fed and some wages covered. We know this is a difficult time for many and so we arent asking for a big commitment. $5, $10 or even $20 per fortnight via direct deposit could really assist us in keeping our ministry operating. If you are able to assist, please message the Restore on this page and pledge an amount. We will send our bank details through to you privately and will keep you up to date regarding this need and when we are stable financially again to operate free of support. 03.01.2022 While our store is closed our donation bin at Restore Church 47 Britannia Rd, Castle Hill is still available to receive your quality donations. We will empty the bin and store it for sorting when bans are lifted. WE ONLY ACCEPT CLOTHING, HANDBAGS, SHOES, ACCESSORIES AND LINEN. No doonas, pillows, electrical, household goods, food or furniture should be left for donation. This will be disposed of at a cost to the charity.... If you are going to donate, please ensure that your donation is secured in a small plastic or shopping bag that will fit through our slots as they will not fit a large garbage bag. Anything left outside the bin may not be safe from weather or peoples intervention, so if the bin is full please try again later once it is emptied. We appreciate your support in this way, and look forward to the future when we can bring exceptional quality goods to our community at low prices. #stayhome #staywell #savelives
